Will a Flowmaster AT kit for LT1's fit LS1's?

I found an AT that's slightly used that was originally on a 95 LT1. The kit is 3" outlets like the kits made for our LS1's. The part number is flo 17274. Will this kit bolt up to my car with little or no extra work? thanks

Yes, it will. You might have to take it to a muffler shop so they can make some adjustments though.

Would the adjustments still be cheap enough to justify buying this kit. The guy wants $200 for it, and the cheapest I can find an AT kit is $300 from Texas Speed. Just trying to save some money where I can. :)

You'll have to have the intermidiate pipe cut and welded to your y-pipe. That will be the only obstacle. IMO $200 is to much for a system that is prolly pretty old if it is on a 95" model car. Not to mention it's Flowmaster. You'll probablly won't gain little to any power, and you get that classic "tin can" flowmaster sound. You should really look around more on the other sites like www.ls1tech.com and www.ls2.com There are SLP dual/dual exausts and magnaflows selling for around $250. I personally sold my SLP D/D the other day there for $250. Those are about the 2 best catbacks on the market now and you can get them for near the same price.

The system is maybe a few months old and used maybe 5k miles. I realize all the stuff going around about Flowmasters flowing badly and less hp increases, but I personally like the way they sound (on an LT1 with shorties and no cat) and don't want to spend the $ for a GMMG. I considered the Hooker, but they're quieter than I thought. I plan to run the AT setup until I do engine work then it'll be true duals, but I may get bored and do true duals earlier. We'll see. I just want a good sounding, cheap catback for now. If dyno runs in the future show I'm lagging for a bolt on car, I'll get an Aerochamber, but I honestly think I'd lose maybe 5hp at most to a Hooker catback for my setup.

Any good exhaust shop will be able to hook it up by adjusting the pipes, adding pipe, playing with the hangers, etc...

If you like the sound of the Flowmaster, then definitely use it (I personally think it sounds very good behind stock manifolds/cats)! You probably won't give up more than 3-5rwhp at the most to the Hooker cat-back on a mostly stock LS1. Now with some headers and especially any kind of engine work, the Hooker Aerochamber will flow 10x better while the Flowmaster will become a huge restriction. ;) But remember, the Flowmaster won't sound nearly as good on yours as it will on any LT1... :o
