Need help putting together my kit.
Need help putting together my kit.
Alright guys i have most of the stuff that I need but i know there are a few things that I am missing. Any advice on what to get and where to get it is very appreciated. I have a Nitrous Works 10lb bottle, I have both nitrous and fuel selenoids (NOS), a bunch of 4an line(NOS), a NOS fogger nozzle and some jets, fuel pressure safety cut-off switch, and a few assorted fittings and stuff. NOW the biggest question I have is what do I use from the selenoids to the nozzle?? Is it 3an line?? Where can i get some of this stuff at bc i havent seen it in Summit Racing. Also, what do I use to secure the selenoids to wherever i plan to mount them?? Does it sound like I have everything that I need to get this kit together? Thanks alot, Dustin
Re: Need help putting together my kit.
aight i went to that sight and it looks like I need 1 red and 1 blue 2ft 3-an line sections and the red 4-an line section for the fuel rail to fuel selenoid. I dont need a WOT switch bc i am just going to use an arm switch and a push button activation.
Re: Need help putting together my kit.
There are two threaded holes on the bottom of each solenoid. Just make a plate out of tin or alum and mount them to it.
And if you are hooking it up to the stock test port on the rail, don't forget to remove the Schrader valve..

Re: Need help putting together my kit.
Remove the Schrader valve?? I thought it was like attached to the rail itself. As far as i have seen it is just a valve with threads on it??
Re: Need help putting together my kit.
There is a "check valve" inside the test port fitting, similar to the valve inside a tire valve stem. If you thread on a -4AN hose, there is nothing to push it open for the fuel to flow. Therefore, you have to unscrew it before you attach the -4AN hose.
Take the cap off the test port, and you will see it. You can remove it with a standard valve stem tool.

Re: Need help putting together my kit.
It will if it is running, or you just shut it off. Put a rag over it and push the valve to bleed the pressure off. And don't remove it until you are ready to hook the spray up.
