Question Help, planing on dying my top soon.

My vert's black top looks like **** with a capital S (pics to come soon). I have been told by some of my friends that know their paint & I can just dye the top black again instead of replacing it. I was wondering how would I do this and what kind of dye do I need to get? Basically I have no idea what I'm doing.

I would be VERY careful before I did anything like that. If you didn't get the right type of dye (for canvas) you could do more damage than good and have to replace the top anyway. What exactly is wrong with it? Is it stained? Just really dirty? Have you tried to give it a good cleaning?
Do a search for convertible top cleaner on this board and see what you come up with.
