Raise the CR

Hi, I have a 9.4CR motor, stock heads, stock cam, dished pistons (-8.6cc).

This was for a blower motor but thinking of going NA again. How high could I safely get my CR up with new heads? Does a lower cc head provide less air flow, bc I know that is how to bring it up some...

Will also probably spray a 150-200 shot or so through this.

Is it worth going back to NA with these pistons or is my CR too low? And will the dish in the piston affect NA performance???????????

Thanks

As far as I've ever heard, flat-top pistons are the best, and allow for the most even combustion in the chamber. For NA purposes, I'd say you want the most compression possible (depending on your intentions, and fuel grade availability;)) and you'd probably want to use flat tops:cool:.

......just my $.02?;)

flat-tops will help raise it as Capn Pete said. also a smaller chambered head will help too. the airflow is more in the valves and the ports, so decreasing the chamber size shouldn't hurt the airflow (as far as i know anyway ;) ).
