Looking for a good shop for suspension work.
Looking for a good shop for suspension work.
Hi All,
I'm new to this board and I'm hoping you guys can help me out. I have a 1989 TTA Pace Car and a 1995 Convertible Trans Am. I'm looking to add subframe connectors, strut tower brace, maybe springs and a good alignment to take advantage of the modifications. I live in Canton, MI and would like to fins a place within reasonable driving distance who can do all the above work. I want quality work and not a fly by night shadytree mechsnics shop. Any personal recommendations from you guys? Any places to stay away from?
Thanks for any insight you can provide.

Re: Looking for a good shop for suspension work.
Welcome to the board!!! Glad to see another 89 TA on here
Dan's Auto in Novi (Grand River Ave just E of Novi Rd) is a really good shop. I don't know if they have done sub frames, but Dan runs a a stand up operation. I've taken both my cars there and he's had the oppertunity to rip me off if he wanted to, but definatly took the high road. If you do call, tell him Steve with the blue Neon told you about him.

EDIT: forgot the most important thing. He is willing to work with you on aftermarket stuff. I kinda screwed up some stuff on my neon, and hes done an awesome job of working around that and setting things straight, including a very stubborn underdrive pull i didn't even know was on the car when I bought it.
