3000gt rear bumper...will it fit?

Can anyone measure a 3000gt's rear bumper cover and compare it to a camaro? It would make the rear flat if it'd fit.

Why? I HATE how the rear bumper sticks out on my car. I have often wanted to get rid of that bulge that looks like a hemmoroid, just money isn't good right now or I'd have a shop make me something.

It's not like the bumper looks anything different than a camaro except that it's flat. I dont know what your all thinking. Maybe look at a picture of one before you type. I'm not talking aftermarket 3000gt, just a stock bumper. Someone must know someone with a 3000gt.

My friend owns one, as does my brother, but I will not support this.

Did you ever think there is something behind that buldge?- hence the reason for it being there?

Do something custom if you want to be diffrent

Re: 3000gt rear bumper...will it fit?

My imagination is not working at the moment on how it will look, but why is it when someone posts up about fabricating a rear Corvette bumper to make things look a little flat, everyone is on the bandwagon on how cool it will look. Someone now is mentioning basically the same thing except using a 3000GT bumper and everyone is like "oh ghey." A flat bumper is a flat bumper, who cares what car the idea stems from, the purpose is to get rid of dust catch we all have on the rear of our cars.

If you had a 3000gt bumper sitting on the ground and a F-body bumper sitting on the ground, they both look almost exactly the same. The only difference is the bulge out on the F-body to hide the bumper. Of course, it shouldn't be very hard to move the rear bumper fwd a little so it doesn't stick out the rear. Would you guys be as upset if he wanted to put a Vette rear bumper cover on the back? Same concept.

Ah you guys are rediculous. Just because I used the words 3000gt flat bumper instead of corvette flat bumper, people say gay. Let's just pretend I said vette rear bumper and somebody measure one of these 3000gt bumpers (oops, I mean "vette" bumper). The only thing behind the bulge is the crush foam. I'd rather get hit without crush foam and look good than have the foam and look wierd with that bumper sticking out.

Can someone please tell me which is a corvette bumper and which is a 3000GT? They are so similar that I myself cannot distinguish between them.

Re: 3000gt rear bumper...will it fit?

I didn't say what I said because it was a 3000gt bumper, but rather because it's not something I would recommend doing for a few reasons, mainly, if you want a flat bumper, its probably easier to make something then mod a 3000gt bumper to fit, also, assuming you made a flat bumper, that would require removing the actual bumper part from the rear of the car, and if your insurance company ever found out, they would drop you so fast your head would spin, also, if anyone ever did any sort of visual inspection your car would fail miserable, and you couldn't register it.
