My 305 has 77k on it and it's completely stock. I'm thinking about going with a wet 100hp shot for the summer until I can afford to finish my stroker. If I end up doing this chances are I'll add hooker supercomps and a 3" catback, along with some subframe connectors. My question is do you think it'll be a good idea to spray a 100 shot on this motor? This is my only means of transportation right now, and I really don't want to pay for a motor rebuild since I'm trying to finish the stroker. Please give me your advice and experiences. Thanks.
well i have an 95 lt1 100 NX shot all day long

You may want to start off with a 50/75 at first. But I would think, that if it's in good mechanical condition, it should be able to handle 100hp.

My friend had a 100,000 mile 305TPI/700R4 combo in his S10 for a long time and he sprayed it with a 100 shot many times without any problems.
Just make sure you have a good fuel pump and good spark and you shouldn't have any problems.
Dave.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. If I'm only going to spray once in a while, do I still need to use colder plugs? If so, will they effect my everyday driving at all, or have a shorter life from everyday regular driving? Thanks.

I had a 91 TA with 145k miles and sprayed it with a 125 shot,no problems. Run the colder plugs, they wont affect driveability, and will last a long time.....although with nitrous you shouldnt expect the same life as non nitrous.

I had an 89 IROC with a TPI 305. I ran the NOS #5151 kit jetted at 100hp with no problems when the car had around 80K miles. Eventually I upped it to 150hp and ran it like that for a while. I had stock fuel and ignition systems. That engine only had like 200hp, so I was almost doubling the power output of the engine. The car definitely ran hard for a peanut-cammed 305.
I took the spray off and sold it when I got out of car scene for a while. I lost the engine about 15K miles later from over-reving it like an idiot. What can I say, I was younger and alot more stupid. I take much better care of my all things now - guess that comes with age. But we've all done stupid things when we were younger, right?
Anyway, I wouldn't hesitate to run a 100hp shot on that engine. It should be fine. I picked up 1.2 seconds and 9 mph with the 100hp shot. (Never ran it at the track with the 150 jets)
