New M3? (Pic)

http://www.leo.nutz.de/images/forums/E90_M3.jpg

Is the pic real? Looks fairly real to me.

Must say, this front shot looks hot. Car has a mean stance and shape. I'm interested in seeing the rear, since that is the ugliest part on the new 3-series i thought. Hopefully the rear would look good as well.

It's overdone. Part of BMW's appeal to me was always its understated look, even on the 'M' cars. Certainly it looks angry but it doesn't look classy either, like a Bimmer should.

As much as I don't like the new styling, I do like those fender flares. It has a mean look to it too. Hmm, I'm undecided whether I like it or not. One thing is for sure, I'd still take one.

I agree. It looks to have every Honda Civic aftermarket body kit styling cue know to man, all rolled up into one. Ricers should love it.

I didn't like it initially.....but the more I look at it the more I think it looks good. Do we know what kind of performance we should expect from the new one?

Re: New M3? (Pic)

One thing I noticed with current M3s were the wheels, specifically the front wheels. They look too narrow for the rest of the car. We have fender flares at the front, we have them at the rear. The rear wears large rubber, the front wears... 225? I don't know the correct size, but that's what it looks like. Same as Porsches - their front rubber looks all too narrow.

I really liked the M3 at first, but now the flares look a little overdone. I basically see regular 3-series with wheels that are extended past the body a little bit. I'm sure it does wonders for its handling, but to me at least it makes the car look a little disproportionate. The more elegant design of the regular 3-series is much more appealing. Besides, putting some wider wheels on 330 makes it look better than M3, IMO.

I also do not like the grille on front fenders (one on each side).

I though the 3 coupe was going to be gone, replaced by the 4-series coupe in keeping with BMW's new naming series of odd numbers are sedans and even numbers are coupes.

Car and driver last month (as wall as a car spy pic website) had pictures of the new 4-series coupe. I kinda think this is a photoshop job.

That looks really good. Im dont like it quite as much as I like the CTSv, but I like how agressive it looks.
