Full port AI + 8lb Procharger

I have a 96Z stock motor with 8# procharger and most bolt ons including Hooker long tubes and off road Y. Best Dyno was at 406 hp 418 ftlbs before the LT's and Y and a few other things.

..... Along with a 58mm AS&M TB. I still plan on doing a ported intake and need a few other things like the extreme timing chain, LT4 knock Module, PCM tuning, and injectors.

My question is how big should I go on the injectors? People are getting pretty close to 400rwhp with AI's Heads, and Cam according to their website dyno postings. I gained around 130 rwhp from the blower should I look for numbers over 530 because of a better valvetrain and better flowing heads, making the boost more efficient?

I also bought Racetronix in-tank and harness kit. That along with the external fuel pump that came with the procharger and the FMU (which I would like to get rid of) So with all that, what size injectors should I buy?

$hitcan the inline pump and only run the Intank. The inline will only be a restriction. You can run 42# injectors up in the neighborhood of 500 RWHP, and that Racetronix kit will support it! Just as a word of advice, those heads will probably increase your non-boost friendly compression ratio becaused they are going to be milled for flatness. Keeping detonation away from your combo is going to require something drastic.... methanol maybe?? Wouldn't be a bad decision if you want the stock motor to live a little longer.

The inline will be a restriction? Okay, well I guess that is one less thing I have to worry about breaking. So 42lbs and just the racetronix kit should deliver sufficient fuel?

As far as the compression ratio, I asked for 64cc combustion chambers to help alievate some of the increase for the milling.

Hopefully that works out. I have been looking at www.alkycontrol.com though.

See the Hp and TQ in my sig with my old turbo kit. That was done on stock lines, rails, and regulator with 42#injectors and a dual Racetronix pump kit. The single alone will support 550 RWHP and if you need more add a boost-a-pump. My injectors were near maxed though.

Get as large of injector you can to keep from upgrading again. 48's or 50's and someone is now making 60 low impeadance but I dont know who or how much...

If you are thinking that you will make 530 rwhp than I would recommend going with Siemans 57lb high impedance injectors.

That is just a guess becuase of the numbers that are posted on AI's website. People are getting close to or just over 400 rwhp with similar packages on stock motors with exhaust and minor bolt ons.

My blower added 127 rwhp on a before/after dyno. 57's huh? Will that make me run rich since I only need that much fuel when I am at WOT?

No, when you tell the computer that you are running 57's, it will compensate.

I agree. :)

Also regardless of what injector you go with I would highly a good intank fuel pump. You may want to take a look at the one that is offered by Racetronix.

Thanks guys, and I actually already have the Racetronix kit. Just haven't put it in yet.

So is it low or high impedence that I need?

You will need a high impedance injector unless you decide to run an Acceleronic convertor box. :)

Im running mototron 60lbs high imppedance injectors and my stock FP regulator gives 50psi ??? (no vac) so i have set the injectorconstant to 65lbs.
At 570rwhp 5900rpm they are at 70% dutycycle....
stock fuellines, Walboro intankpump widh new wiring from the alternator, V-plus volt booster.
Tried lucas 42lbs before i installed the new wiring to the pump, FP at 58psi injectorconstant 49lbs and they hit 100% dutycycle and the fuelpressure dropped at the top....

Im very pleased widh the mototron injectors, idles perfect at 950rpm...

I honestly have never used the Sieman 57lb injectors but I will say overall that Sieman makes a great injector. I have used Siemans 55lb (low impedance injectors) and am currently using 83lb Sieman injectors. I would email Jack at Racetronix and see if he has any experience with the Sieman 57lb injectors.
