So I was looking at a performance catalog and looking for tie rod ends. They got outer tie rod end listed and something called inner socket assembly for 4th gens. Do I need both of these? Also should I go with stock gm parts or aftermarket?

gmpartsdirect.com sells them for $27 each (part # 21011027). RKsport has a bump steer kit with spherical ends but the kit is $140. Depends on how hardcore you want to go I guess.

the inner socket assembly is also referred to as the inner tie rod. are you replacing them because they are worn? or just doing it because? the inner tie rods take a special tool to remove them. but, sometimes you can get to the large nut that holds it to the rack and pinion with a wrench. you'l see it once you remove the boot.

Yes they are worn, actually the rubber is torn on outer tie rod ends. Just wanting to know which ones I need. What effect will aftermarket tie rod ends have?

aftermarket overall are no different than stock ones. they are just made a little bit differently so as not to get into copyright infringement.

so you won't feel any difference going to the rk sport's vs. the stockers. Has anyone ran w/ the rksport's? How do they feel?
