OK...sort of an unsubstantiated rumor....but this would be the place to post it.

Rumor has it that DCX has a long wheelbase LX in the works. It will be called Imperial and have a 6.1 Hemi. The rumors go that it will be introduced Aug 15th at the Pebble Beach Concourse D' Elegance.

Any input?

 

Wow, what will we see next, the return of Plymouth and DeSoto?

That rumor has been around for several months now. Not saying it won't happen, but....on a scale of 1-10.....1 being, 'not a chance', and 10 being, 'cosmic certaintude'.....I'll give it a 2.

 

Rumor also has it that the new V10 Hemi will end up in that car.

 

It's about 5 miles away from where I work, so I'll be able to let you know 1st hand.

(I'm able to golf there for just a $20 green fee... Guess I should learn how to golf now)

 

Especially when the regular greens fee is now $380 for Pebble Beach!!

 

Hmmm Big Chryslers ... love em ..... reminds me of my childhood. In early 1968 the old man came home with a 68 Crown Imperial. He won it at a Rotary dinner. The room in the back seats was amazing ..... would have loved the room in high school. Had a 924 instead .... no action in that back seat. Just big repair bills.

My older brother drove the thing into the ground in the late 70's. That 440 was not gas friendly.

I think it a much stronger rumor that the LWB LX will be there and possibly with the new 6.1. There are a couple of sources that are saying the same thing. There is a possiblity that the Charger might show up, but that isn't for certain. Not as much as the LWB LX that is suppose to show up.

Also, I have heard that this may happen on July 15th, but does anyone know of anything going on Thurs?
