i dont know whats wrong with my car.

after a car wash, i took my car out for a drive but after i started my car, it just died after couple of seconds. i tried again but same thing happen. finally the 3rd time it ran normal but than when i wwas at my friend house and came back to my car, it kept having same problems. ive opened up my hood and saw my air filter was kinda wet but not soaked. so i thought that was the problem so i took off the whole elbow to see if it still did it and it did. if i hit the throttle, it tries to rev but it dies. but once in a while, it starts and idles fine but "service engine soon" light comes on. whats wrong with it? my friends are saying its a bad fuel pump. thanks alot.

Did you use a drive-through car wash and get an underbody wash?
