what is the stock lift on the ls1 cam (99)? i think it is around .520"

i'm thinking of upgrading to 1.8 rockers, possibly 1.85s. will a spring that handles .600" lift be sufficient? or do i need .650"?

I think the 01+ are like .497 lift and the 98-00 are something like .503 or somewhere close. If you plan to get a cam sometime you might not want the 1.8 or 1.85. Most of the cams I see are fast ramp cams and the bigger ratio rocker arms dont work well with then i guess. (just going by what i was told before buying my cam)

I dont think you will need a spring that handles .650 as a 1.85 rocker arm wont make the lift that high. A .600 spring will work.

yeah i know about the problems with cam selection. but if i do a cam there are quite a few that specifically state they are compatable with the higher ratio rockers.

thanks for the info
