my 97 z28 - honda s2000 - old lx 5.0

coming through deland /debary on i-4 west. honda and mustang veered onto i-4 . i was like hell yeah.so we are in a lil bit of traffic goin about 65 ( its honda up front stang in middle then me in back) then traffic clears honda floors it , i guess the stang didnt notice he was leavin him so i punched and passed the stang, then we goin about 110 and hit traffic again . then it clears and i jump on the honda side adn pass him, and he is pretty much right on my *** and i am barley inchin away. tehn we side by side again and i ask him if its stock he said no then the stang flys by, he points and i see him move shifter( and at the exact time we both floor it ata the same time, which rarley happens to me, usually someone gets the jump) at teh time we are goin 55 and we both go and i jump like 3-4 feet and he is out of my sight and he stayed like that all the way up to 120ish. all the meanwhile we are catchin up to the stang. then we all slow to about 80 and all floor it at the same time and i jump honda stays tailing me and the stang slowly falls back.
this was the first run i got to do on the streets and it was a real good adrenalie rush. i didnt think those s2000's were that quick but i guess bein modded a lil they can be. both of them had exhaust from what i could tell and the stang while cruising was screaming at 80 , sounded lik ehe possibly had gears or stick shift waiting to punch it. anyway sorry for the long story but this was my first kill.
thanks alot for reading hope u enjoyed

Good kill man . I havent raced an S2000 yet but think they would be good from a roll. They dont weigh much compared to their hp so modded I imagine they would do good. They might have trouble off the line because of their lack of torque. Oh yea dont they redline like at 8000 or so. That might help off a roll, I dont know though.

Cool...laying the smack.

I am always trying to coax some S2K guys out to the track around here....you know..mad top end.

Remember, if someone is on your ***...get in another lane...drafting bastards.

buddy of mine got an 04 s2000 couple months ago, so i was abliged to do some hw on the car to answer his questions he would no doubt have(he is lazy and just feels asking me about cars is quicker). anyway, he was looking to mod it but the sad part is with that car, the only way to get some real power out of it is with FI or major engine work. Siimple bolt ons do almost nothing for them ie maybe a couple hp here and there. Another little tidbit is that many people kno about the rear end being fairly weak which kinda makes them not want to launch their cars. Just a few things I learned along with a lot more. Very fun cars to drive though. 00-03 2.0l revs to 9k, 04 2.2l revs to 8k with same hp figure

when he was going around 90ish(probably nearing top of third gear) that thing was screaming up to 120. sounded like the motor was at its last leg.
but this was my first actual kill since i got the car, and it was hell of adrenaline rush, cant wait to do it again!
thanks for the replies
