lt1 ls6 swap

lt1 ls6 swap

hello,...i dont know if this is the right place to post this but i am running out of places for advice...i have a 96 z(auto)i also have a complete ls6 with LT headers, and a awesome cam...what all would i have to change to put the ls6 in my 96 z...i know the ignition and computer, but what about the tranny.....its already been beefed up alot so it can handle the power...but what else would i have to change?and if you know anywhere else i can go for information i would really appreciate it....thanks

The same as it would to swap an lt1 for an ls1 if that helps. Different tranny.

I believe the hood is too low for an LS1/LS6, plus I think there are some other fitment issues, but I'm not sure of them. Also I thought the trannies were the same, maybe it's just the bell housing, or maybe I'm crazy.

The stock hood is too low, but you could get something like an Ultra-Z hood and it would work, plus the intake would be right in the right spot for ram air. Trannies are different
