M6 fluid change...questions

i was just wondering what all you guys with manual trannies use for fluid. also will any fluid help get into gear easier, sometimes i have a hell of a time with the car not wanting to get into first and i grind tha damn gears. are synthetics good, any suggestions will help..

Use what the manual says. Some will argue synthetics are the way to go, some will say they can damage the synchros. I say read the manual.

There's a section of the manual that tells you which fluids to use for everything on the car.

I don't expect people to agree with my personal experience, but I think the Quaker State Special Import Tranny Fluid (the stuff used in Acuras) is about the best non-synthetic out there (except for the G.M. stuff you purchase at the dealership for $6 or $7 a quart<syncromesh>, actually I think it's equal <my opinion only>). It's about $2 at Wal Mart and comes in a green bottle. A tranny guy told me about it as an alternative for Dextron II/III Mercon requirements for a bit less...:think:
