I need a few pieces I dont have in the salvage yard right now. Mainly a dust shield, cross member, upper shifter section, and the slave unit. Somebody has to have this stuff laying around. Its not very often the junk yard dog has to ask for parts ;)

That stuff isnt expensive from GM

The crossmember is only $20 or so from GMpartsdirect and $21 from cromar... Then I have a dust shield if you need it and what do you mean by upper shifting section? Shift forks and the shifting rod assmembly?

Shift forks and the shifting rod assmembly? I will take the dust shield for sure. The upper section I mean is the part that actually bolts to the factory shifter that goes into the tranny. The part the shift knob attached to. You know where the shifter splits on a factory shifter, I need the upper section that dosent bolt to the actual tranny. Ya got anything else laying around? I believe Sean is gonna be making a trip over here soon, maybe we can get him to play parts bitch again ;)

I think I have a spare slave in my garage. I know that I threw out my stock shift-lever during spring cleaning.

Hey Q, I've got the stock shifter out of the SS. If the stick is the same we could work something out.

Excellent, Tom and Al, I would be willing to take both of them off your hands.

If you are going to use the trans in anything you actually care about I would recommend a new slave assy. from GM. They're cheap.

The one you get from GM comes with everything and is pre-bled.

There is an old part number, 10230433, and a new one, 12557509. I don't know what the diff is though. I've replaced mine before with a new one, but I don't remember which one i used.

Edit:

10241153 Flywheel Cover

12337973 Flywheel Bolt. (Need 4)

It seems that there is a third revision because when you punch 12557509 into gmpartsdirect it says it has been changed to 12559912.

I'm going to have to figure out what I have now. :)
