Aftermarket alarm removal question (long)

I am the second owner of a 96 z28. The previous owner installed a clarion UNGO car alarm. From what I can tell, the alarm was poorly installed, and is no longer working correctly. The control box is just jammed up under the dash, the wires do not seem to be correctly color coded, it randomly blows fuses, and will go off on its own.

I want to remove it, but do not know where to start. The car has keyless entry, but I cannot tell if it is a factory option that the alarm is controling, or is a feature of the alarm. The only transmitter I have is mfr'd by clarion for the alarm.

The BCM seems to be working propery.

If I arm the alarm with the transmitter, the doors will lock (and the siren "chirps".) If I use the key to unlock the door and open the door, the siren will sound until I disable the alarm with the transmitter.

If I lock the door from inside the car then close the door and do not arm the alarm, I think the parking lights will flash once. If I then unlock the door with the key, the HORN (factory security?) will sound until I place the key in the ignition. If I use the transmitter to unlock the door, it will simply arm the alarm, and try to "re-lock" the doors.

I want to remove the aftermarket alarm, and restore the car to the "factory alarm" specs. What do I need, how should I go about removing the aftermarket alarm (wires, controls, etc)? Where to they attach, splice in, etc. to the factory wiring?

Can I re-program the factory keyless entry to the frequency of the aftermarket module, or should I purchase an OEM xmitter?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for reading.
