How do yall wax with stripes?badazzcamaro97 03-31-2004, 09:58 PM I always get wax stuck around the edges of the stripes and it seems like an eternity to finally get it all.Is there some trick or tip to make this easier? Error 03-31-2004, 10:26 PM Quit using wax. I spent 3 hours one day scraping that crap outta the edges of my vinyl. Another reason I switched to Zaino. SSMOKEDU 04-02-2004, 02:14 PM When Zaining my brothers 10th Ann. Firehawk, which has stripes, I avoid the edges. Zaino doesn't leave any white residue, which is a benefit of using it. How about using a que-tip to remove the wax from the edges? badazzcamaro97 04-03-2004, 10:17 PM Originally posted by SSMOKEDU When Zaining my brothers 10th Ann. I never thought of a q tip, I usually use a soft brissle toothbrush Error 04-05-2004, 08:05 AM Q-tip didn't work for me, and a brush would scratch. I used my findernail and a towel. Took FOREVER! SweetZRag 04-05-2004, 11:41 AM Griot's garage makes a spray called Paint Prep. It dissolves wax. It is supposed to be used to clean paint before applying new wax or doing body work. I spray it on a fine detail brush (like a tooth brush) and use it to scrub around letters and such. It might work for the edges of your stripes but it will remove wax in that area.
