Cai or ssra?

Which one would be better to get? I have heard the ssra has problems during rainfall is that true? I really want to improve my induction. I am already planning on lid, but I want something else as well.

I'd still go with the SSRA. If you're gonna be driving the car in wet conditions, you can remove the lower half of the scoop so it effectively becomes identical to the FTRA or SLP cold air setup. Then, when you wanna run at the track (cuz street racing is illegal ;)), you just reattach the lower half and you're good to go.

i, as have hundreds of other owners, driven in VERY rainy weather. i have had no problems.

the only actual story i heard, from a confirmed wittness, was a guy drving full speed through deep water TRYING to cause a rooster tail....not something you do with a ram air scoop.

the SSRA and the cai will function identical at slower speeds, but at highway speeds the SSRA becomes a 10hp advantage over the CAI....which would you rather have?

the ssra, i believe, is a better option than the ftra...driven through a lot of rain and haven't had a problem.

don't know about any 10hp gain at higher speeds....highly doubt that, considering "ram air" is debateable on our cars...so i highly doubt that going 70 is gonna net 10hp with a lower scoop attached.

only thing i have against the ssra is that i've had some trouble with mine.....falling apart. the lower scoop had split at the seems, i tried to repair it, but it came apart again...thinking about scrapping the scoop and trying to use the plastic for something else....

i'm the only one i know that has had this problem with the lower scoop, so you might not have any troubles....

SSRA is my vote. Mines been on for about a year and I have nothing but good things to say about it. Feels a little stronger up top then regular CAI's.
