Where to Dyno?Toms30th 03-19-2004, 05:58 PM I'd like to know what kind of power my Lightning is putting to the wheels...anybody know of a good place in Orange County? The old man there is a arrogant new york A-Hole and his Bull Dog wife is no better. I know many A people that have been burned very bad, including magazine people. I am in amazement there still in business. Go to powertrain, Steve knows his $hit especially with fords. SS MPSTR 03-29-2004, 04:45 PM The original poster asked where to dyno. Superior has a dyno, and offers dyno services. This does not require Joe, or anyone else over there, to work on your car. Had they asked about where to have work done, there are better and cheaper places. :D If it's a convenient place to dyno, why not use it? I know Joe is difficult to deal with sometimes, but they have produced some really fast cars, and haven't done wrong by me. I'll reserve judgement until I hear both sides of the story. 1 DWN CAM 03-29-2004, 09:14 PM Yes your absolutely correct Joe Sr does not run the Dyno, his son Joe Jr does, and don't get me wrong the son is really cool. But why would you want to spend your hard earned money with a shop that is completely biased on any work that has been done to your vehicle up to that point. His arrogance completely fills the shop. You make valid points but why not go to a shop that gives the customer the total package, without the attitude. SAM98TAM6 03-29-2004, 09:25 PM Silver State Motorsports is great with Lightnings if you wanna make a road trip..... :) SS MPSTR 03-31-2004, 03:51 PM Originally posted by 1 DWN CAM Yes your absolutely correct Joe Sr does not run the Dyno, his son Joe Jr does, and don't get me wrong the son is really cool. I agree with you - I go to shops that treat me with the same consideration I try to show others. Then again, the attitude of Joe does not bother me, but I could see how it could offend most folks. truedualws6 04-03-2004, 12:27 AM I made several phone calls prior to selecting a place to dyno my car. I ended up at Bottle Blown Racing in Camarillo. My decision was also based on a desire to use a SuperFlow dyno. Toms30th 04-03-2004, 12:35 PM I'm not really sure what the differences are between dyno types. Do some read higher numbers than others? Are there types I should avoid? Carvinta 04-04-2004, 10:29 PM I had mine done at GRC performance in Mission Viejo. $65 for 3 pulls with air/fuel put on the graph. TurboSS 04-10-2004, 10:20 AM phone number for GRC performance ???? I used them a few years ago to tune my car when I lived in that area. For other places with dyno's, you can check dynojet's website at http://www.dynojet.com/ | ||
