Question Mustang needs an LT-1 Swap.Any Info???

I am looking for some help. There is a guy that has a Fox bodied Mustang in MD that has transplanted a Small Block Chevy in it.There are pictures of it at mdstreetracingassoc.com.On that web site there is no way to post or email.I am trying to find info on this swap as I have a 91 Mustang that I would like to transplant a LT-1 into. If anyone can be of any help I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks
James

I'd have your car in the high 13's at about 101-102 for about $2,000. Have you even removed the air silencer or bumped the timing on that car? Those ET's are about 4 mph off and a half second slow.

I hav'nt removed the air silencer. The timing has been bumped to14*like all the Mustang rags say to.The car also has no catback currrently. It has the factory headers and H pipe with 4 cats.and thats it.I only got one run in (track was busy) and it spun off the line. The AOD is on the way out too.

Lentech VB with a better converter and a Lentech rebuild kit (good for over 650 hp) along with 4.10 gears will get you into the 14's. Good heads, intake and some tuning will also get you some good gains. E-mail me at scott279050@cs.com and I can let you into some of the secrets that will get your AOD faster than an LT-1 swap would for quite a bit less. The trans is stonger than you might think, especially when you get past the 2 weak points.
