I was the other pewter Z28 parked right there across from you, in the parking garage by the gym.

Mine was the dirty lowered pewter Z28. I've seen the kid that drives the orange Camaro next to me many times but he won't even so much as glance over at me when I try to say "nice car."

My car is usually parked in that garage when I can manage a decent spot.

 

Really? Yeah, I liked your aftermarket grill. And heh, mine's fairly dusty herself with this pollen nonsense we got goin' on right now. And it's funny to hear that the kid has his nose in the air like that, since I remember meeting him one night when he had just gotten the car and was gushing about how cool it was and how he felt like he'd joined a "brotherhood of real car enthusiasts" or something to that effect.

It's ok, just wait til he gets dusted off by some kid with a WRX or Eclipse with a few thousand dollars worth of modifications, it's happened or WILL happen to most of us at some point.

That's why I always make it a point to give props to F-Bodies I see, you never know when you might meet the guy again.

 

there are alot of f-bodies around at UCF, we should get organized some day...

The Orange one are you talking about SOM ls1 Z28 with an aftermarket hood? it might be DanBUCF.

 

I would be all about getting together with my UCF F-body brethren sometime! And it can't be DanB, I've seen him post a lot here, and he seems like a really nice guy, not the type to ignore someone trying to complement his ride. Also, as best I could remember, the hood was a stock one. Also it had square quad-exhaust tips.

Nope, as I said, this car had the stock lid, I believe. It's at the health center garage a lot though, I'll make sure to verify the lid deal though. You can't see the exhaust in any of the pictures.

 

if i remember correctly dan has slp dual dual tips. i saw him on 408 the other week and we gave each other a wave, so i'm sure its not him. theres another som z28 i've seen w/ a hooker exhaust. usually parks in the garage by the gym.

i also see the lowered pewter z28 all the time. always looks pretty clean when i see it. i've never come across any of the owners though. if i do i'll make sure to say hi.

 

I don't think it was Dan. This SOM looked pretty much stock. I see one parked in the gym garage on the second story a lot. My car is usually in that garage too.

I'm the guy with the lowered pewter Z. Thanks for the compliments guys. I try to wash it every week or so, but it's tough to keep it clean since it's outside all the time.

I'm sure I've seen your car around Storm. Your windows aren't tinted are they?

I used to try to get the attention of everybody I'd see in an fbody, but I've given up on that cause nobody seems to care.


Anyways, it really would be cool if we could all meet up one night.

I know which car you're talking about in the parking garage by the gym, I see it all the time. Its not my car.

I usually park on the top floor whenever I go to the gym so you can look for mine up there, but I'm only there like an hour a day or so.

I always wonder about who's SOM car that is, but I guess nobody here really knows him either.

I've seen a red LS1 WS6 parked in that garage too a couple times.

There's a guy on campus with an LS1 Z28 who is a real d*ck...I'm not gonna describe the car or the guy cause some of you might know him. He's got a fairly quick car, but if you try to ask him anything about it, he'll blow you off like he's hot sh*t or something. I know a couple people have had similar experiences w/him also. He's not on this board or any of the others. I just don't see the need to be a jerk to somebody who's got similar interests as you.

Its always good to run into F-Body guys on campus and around this area. We should all try to get a track night together in the next few weeks for us UCF guys (gals?)...what do you think?

Hopefully I'll be out there again starting in June.... I have a black LS1 WS6. Glad to see there are some F-Bods out at school to park near..... some of the people out there just dont give a ratsa** and wing thier doors into your ride, like my old Dakota
