Well guys, I thnk that this topic fits under "Advanced" if not a swift kick in the ass will work. Anyway, I just built a 383 forged internals vortec heads.... It has an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold (for hood clearance) and a 750 Holley carb with vacume secondaries. The plan is to stick it in my 95 3.4L. I already have the 700r4. My problem is hood clearance. I know that it is not going to fit under the cowl. I figure that big blocks have been stuffed in so my 383 should be fine. Anyway, I am in for the long haul, so just going and buying an LT1 isn't an option. So, what do I gotta do, any advice or pics would be great.

I have a weiand stealth manifold. It is a low-rise so it it is the same height as a performer but it flows better than the performer. Then get about a 14" X 2.25" filter with the drop base. You might need to cut the tops of the carb bowl vents to fit the low air filter.
