Does cryro treatment really work?

I am contemplating getting a new output shaft put in my car and having it cryro treated for increased strenghth. How much does the cryro treatment really strengthen the metal. I got a quote for $200.00 for all my metal transmission parts on top of a rebuild and was wondering if it was worth it. Opinions?
Thanks
Matt

Have you seen this website for 300 Below?
http://www.300below.com/

They have some really good videos there of how it works, and testimonials and stuff. Apparently it does work really well!

Don't know about car parts, but gun barrels have really benefitted from it in target shooting. I heard about cryo for gun barrels around 10 years ago IIRC.

yes i think it works
i had my valvesprings and other valvetrain componenets cryogenically treated

i kept bustin valve springs every 12th pass or soo so far im on 28 passes this set

200 seems pretty good for all your trans parts!

Thanks for the replies guys. I think I'm leaning towards the cryro treatment and keeping my 6spd. for streetability concerns. Again thanks for the input/info.
