I want to build a sheet metal intake for my 408 SBC motor. Doesn anyone know of a supplier for the flanges? These are Brodix Track 1 heads, so they have the larger ports 1.34x2.21

The flanges plus a little extra,

This might be easier if you have access to the machines and it is your first intake.

Why a sheet metal intake? Track 1's are great heads, but aren't there many good, well developed cast manifolds available? Does this engine have some neat exotic carb or FI? Please share.

I've seen pics of that intake before, it makes absoultely no sense to me at all why they did that.

Seriously there are a ton of good cast intakes out there, what do you need to do?

That manifold bugs the crap out of me… The whole procedure was done in a way that resulted in more time and work then doing it just about any other way, he charged the guy for all the hours and then on delivery he had to spend another $3-400 just to get it flat enough to seal on the engine. For all this effort he got something that looks like a gift wrapped elephant which is bound to have all sorts of distribution problems.

He would have saved money just paying hogan's to do it right.

Gift wrapped elephant, lol

Well any other intake could have done the job. I think that intake is a BBC intake though, but a sheet metal would have been better.
