performance shop in S.A.
hey guys any of you from san antonio? if so, do you know of any good shops around here where i can get my headers and gears installed? theres like 2 that i know its called fuel injection but they are charging grip man. another is alamo performance? is there any other shops that are better than those i named? thanks
I don't know how godd they are for installs, but there's also Street Strip performance on Marbach, across from John Jay HS. A guy down the road has had some stuff installed on his Mitsubishi and never had a problem.
Another option is go into the Texas forum and look for AHARTZ28. I know he does some installs, works for GM, so knows his stuff and alot of people round hear swear by him.

thanks dark angel. so i assume your around my area. i stay off of marbach as a matter of fact. what bout you? oh by the way guys sorry if its in the wrong section. i forgot that i could have post this on the texas section. oh yeah dark angel, as for street strip i heard negative things..
I have the same question just different state. I was wondering if there was a shop in Southern Michigan area that has a good reputation for ls1s
AHART would be a good person to go to...I personally haven't had work done by him, but I haven't heard one complaint about his craftsmanship.
I'll also put a stab in for Maximum Velocity. Jack is their mechanic and he's been around quite a few LS1's. He also did gear installs at an off-road store, so he's plenty experienced there!
682-1100...speak w/Tim!!
I personally did my header install, but I had my gears done at Mo Gear. I don't remember the guys name, but he warantees GM gear installs for six months. I had a wine in the rearend a month after the install, took it back, he did his thing, and I haven't had a problem since.
Good luck!!

Ryan rebuilt my rearend and did a great job and I've always heard great things about him. He works at Gunn Pontiac on I-35. I think he will be your best bet quality and price wise. One more place is DynoTex racing. Its the place we have been Dynoing recently. I don't know what prices they are charging but I went to school with Corry Henderson. He's been working on cars basically his whole life. He definately knows his stuff. I ran into him at the last dyno day. He just started working at DynoTex and I think he's the head mechanic there. Good luck

Ryan is the only person besides myself who I allow to work on my Trans Am. He does excellent work and is a solid person to do business with.
