I have stainless steel tips that are polished, should I wax them to protect them from getting nasty?

I use Turtle wax polish on mine.

My friend just polished his borla tips. They had so much dirt on them and now they look awesome. Go for it.

There's really no point in waxing your exhaust tips, because the wax will "melt" off once the car gets up to normal temp. You can get some metal polish to clean them up a bit.

My tips are brand new, I just want any protection so that they do not get rusting and nasty. I live in Indiana right now so during the winter salt is on the roads.

Well, I don't mean that you'll actually see the stuff melt off. But the heat will lower the life of the wax. The best thing to do to clean up your exhaust tips is buy some metal polish.

might i suggest MAAS Metal Polish. I use it everytime I detail now and it makes those tips look great. works on all metal. I use it on my wheels too.

do you think the lifespan of zoopseal would apply to the exhaust tips? ive used it under the hood an i think it gets hotter under there then just the tips of the exhaust an i got about 8-9 months outta one coat
