Just bought a 00' LS1, will my Vig from my '95 fit in?

I have a built transmission 460LE (A4) from my 95' Z28, will this fit / work ?

The snout of the Torque convertor that fits into the crank will not fit. The LT1 and LS1 have different size openings so you cannot swap either or. It has to fit perfect or the Torque convertor will not be centered.

I had thought the "snout" of the Torque Convertor went onto the input shaft of the transmission. The underside of the convertor bolted up to the flywheel, which is bolted to the crankshaft.
