Pics of my poor wrecked Pandora94GrayV6 02-21-2004, 11:01 AM pics can be found here: http://anasazi.sytes.net/mikecrash/ Thanks Scott. BigggD222 02-21-2004, 01:28 PM holy sh*t what happened? gol10dr 02-21-2004, 09:59 PM Ouch… Love the title though.. Every time I work on the bird it seems like I open the box myself. MustangEater82 02-21-2004, 11:25 PM Ouch! I knwo you kind of wanted it but it looks totaled to me, with the buckling in the rear... 94GrayV6 02-22-2004, 01:42 AM Yeah the buckling will most likely seal the deal. jpaugh 02-22-2004, 03:11 AM Totalled because of a dented rear quarter? Not necessarily. You can hang a new quarter. The roof looks good, how's the subframe? I wouldn't call it cashed yet.... 94GrayV6 02-22-2004, 03:30 AM Yeah I'm not sure what shape the unibody's in, the car has 142k on it so its only work like 4k...we'll just have to see. LT1Brutus 02-23-2004, 12:08 AM gol10dr: I'm gonna have to take credit for christening his car: Pandora. A couple hours working on that car....and reality goes away. Gremilns....I think I got'em all though (knocked on wood) S84Z28 02-23-2004, 06:03 PM OUCH dude.. that sucks! Sorry to see it go... Steve 94GrayV6 02-25-2004, 12:09 PM Just got a call from the adjuster. The car is a total loss. Time for an LS1. MustangEater82 02-25-2004, 04:52 PM Originally posted by 94GrayV6 Just got a call from the adjuster. The car is a total loss. Time for an LS1. sorry and glad for yeah at the same time I know you had thoughts on replacing the motor luckily you hadn't done it yet. As for looking for an ls1... I know you are not a fan but keep an just look into stangs for a bit... Nevrmind looks like the good '03s are gone... I was gonna reccomend looking at new '03s, since they offer $4,000 rebates on new '03s... searched 2-3 dealers local, and they only have auto Gts left no more 5-speeds. ANd the auto GT I drove felt slower then my 3.4L, but the 5-speed got up and moved! Not sure stangs are as good of a deal... but on 04s, $2500 rebates, and there is a $400 rebate if you are a student... other then that happy ls1 hunting. :) 94GrayV6 02-25-2004, 10:15 PM No Eric, I'm not a traitor like yourself...Mustang? NO WAY! :D anasazi 02-25-2004, 10:41 PM Originally posted by 94GrayV6 No Eric, I'm not a traitor like yourself...Mustang? NO WAY! :D an LS1 will most likely cost 2 - 3 times as much as your insurance will give you for your car... however, i just happen to be selling a 95 z28 :) MustangEater82 02-25-2004, 10:58 PM Originally posted by anasazi an LS1 will most likely cost 2 - 3 times as much as your insurance will give you for your car... however, i just happen to be selling a 95 z28 :) why 2-3 times? they almost going at the same price... I have seen ls1s over $20k so they are worth like the same. Don't worry guys I still think the f-body is a far superior car... I was just, and now with the '03s gone the '04 gts, are a little pricier so nothing too amazing. anasazi 02-25-2004, 11:09 PM Originally posted by MustangEater82 why 2-3 times? they almost going at the same price... I WOULD BE INTRESTED IN YOUR FIPK, BBK shorties w/ ORY, 1LE elbow, Z06 MAF, LT4 KM, anasazi 02-26-2004, 12:19 PM Originally posted by red96gt IF IT TOAST WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO SELL SOME OF YOUR MODS.. I was talking about 01-02 cars, you are talking about 5 and 6 year old cars, I certainly hope they are chepaer to insure then new 0 mile cars with warranty. How I was when I bought cars was I didn't want to spend $10-14k on a car that has possibly more then half its life gone( I consider most GM cars lasting 100k without major money dropped in it, some less)... I didn't wanna be making payments on a car with 70-80k on it, especially an f-body. Even though someone knows someon with a ls1 that has 476,383 miles and runs 12s on original tires, F-bodies on average are not reliable cars. :) anasazi 02-26-2004, 12:46 PM Originally posted by MustangEater82 hehe... well of course... "LS1's last a long time there is someone on the corvette forum with a 250k mile corvette" ... so, there is a few hundred thousand LS1's in the world but yet there is only one posterchild that has hit 250k ... great :) 94GrayV6 02-26-2004, 04:09 PM Damn you guys did alot of talking today! I just got off the phone w/ the adjuster and after the deductible($500) the car is worth $4507. I still have $3K+ in reciepts to show her. I'll get a check for $6-6.5k most likely. I have found about 18 LS1 cars within 200 miles that I'm interested in. They are all priced between $9-12k and have between 40-75k miles. I'm going out shopping Saturday.:D red96gt: I may be buying the car back from the insurance company and then selling it to Brett Downs (LT1Brutus) @ Masc Performance. I'm sure he'd be willing to sell some if not all of that stuff to you. Sorry Scott, I don't want a metal grater for a car;) anasazi 02-26-2004, 05:00 PM Originally posted by 94GrayV6 Damn you guys did alot of talking today!
