Unhappy Uh oh! Transmission slipping, or not?

Stomped it merging onto the interstate this morning, and either my transmission was slipping, or I was spinning one wheel. Also, I had to correct myself pulling into a parking spot, and when i put it back in drive to pull forward, it either slipped or its really cold and my tires spun a little.
I there anyway to differentiate betyween the tranny and the tires spinning? Anything I can check?
The car has 80k on the odometer, and a transgo and cooler since about 37k.

I highly doubt you were spinning a wheel. Sorry to say but your trans is going. Just redid mine and it had about 78K on it when it started to go.
