I have come across a great deal on a 95 Z-28 Conv. Something wrong with the motor but I don't know what. It may be something fairly minor or it could be major. Before spending a bunch on the LT1 I would considers swaping in an LS1 if it is not too difficult and expensive to do.

I have pulled/rebuilt lots of motors/trannys/rears etc. and have well equiped garage. How difficult is it to install the LS1 in a 95? What parts would I need other than the LS1 motor? Where would be a good place to get an LS1 and the other parts I would need? What is the "going rate" for a good used LS1? Any LS1 crate motors available for a reasonable price?

Very common subject, try a search .

The crate engines are usually pretty expensive, it's best to get a LS1 with low miles out of a totaled car.
