for W2W, what spring rates work well with 32 mm hollow front and 21 mm 1LE rear bars?
I came to the conclusion that my 35 mm ST front bar would be great in Autocross, but is heavy for W2W when coil over's are permissable.
Anyway, I read 94Bird's 600/175# with 32 solid/21 1LE, and was thinking that if I upped the front spring rate some, I could do as well with 32 hollow up front and save some weight.
If that's true, and what rate would work well?
thanks

Since nobody has answered this, I'll give it a shot.
You're on the right track as springs and bars are interchangeable in some ways. The 93 1LE 32/21s are biased fairly heavily toward oversteer, particularly if you're running negative camber on the front. I'd go with the softest rear springs that keep the rear from bottoming and then balance the car with fairly stiff fronts. Another option would be to drop the rear bar to 19.

LG Motorsports basically sells parts that are made to play together (using the rates/diameters that he did racing). He used 650# front and I think 225# rear, with a 32 front / 21 rear bar. He road raced, so this isnt best for autocrossing (a little stiff). Might give you an idea of what is a 'good setup' for atleast 1 person. Might not be best for you of course.

I'm running the 1LE bars with 600# front and 150# rear springs. I like it. Very neutral on a roadcourse. If anything I think I'll increase the rear spring rate a bit in the future.
Most autocross guys like the rear to be a bit softer. I've only autocrossed with this set-up once so I can't really say if it's optimum for that.

You might want to consider the 1LE setup. It consists of 360# fr and 130/170# rr springs, with Koni DA shocks all around. They use a 32mm hollow bar up front and leave the stock 19mm in the back.
Of course all the control arms on the car have firmer bushings. You can buy these from
GM directly.
I'm using the 1LE setup on my new 2002 z28 car which has no options (light) and the car
is really damn fast.
Just needs to stop now

steve,
The 1LE springs are better than stock, but I am trying to reduce weight, lower the center of gravity, and avoid hitting bumpstops. The 1LE's won't do that.
I know this because I have 1LE springs on my other f-body (98 T/A Convt), along with HD Bilstiens, 35mm front and 21mm rear bars, a PHR, LCA's, all with poly bushings, and 17 x 9 rims. It corners much better than it did stock, but not good enough to run up front.
