thought id drop a line since no ones posted in awhile from around here. any new people in the area that want to hangout??? were still at checkers in east ridge on sat nights and its slowly growing. and cleve.tn is also going real good again.we had about fifteen cars in chatt. sat night and then went to cleve. late and their were about thirty cars already their.later

what's up shannon ? got on my car alittle sun. seem's really strong. i should be ready to go back to cleveland sat. what about you ? think you can fix your problems? there were a lot of cars at checkers .but tere were some who didn't come out. i hope talking to you on here might bring more out. maybe from out of town.like some of the cars from cleveland . man there was a lot out.

whats up, still have the same problem, but im gonna try a relay on the fuel pump. shawn thinks its looseing volts. the two times it worked right were in the daytime with the lights off,so maybe that might help. if that doesnt fix it ill put a fuel psi. reg. on it. i tried michaels n2o reg. yesterday and it didnt help. wish i could get it fixed right. it runs real strong when its right.feals better than michaels car.atleast i did get a race in against that white gt with the black cowl hood.later

maybe that will fix it . i'd like to see ya make a good hard pass. mine likes the c-4 seems to work good . chase seemed to like it . i'd like to run a few times sat.

So your gonna be ready for saturday Eric? Cool. We put that relay on Shannons car tonight. But ran out of wire. He should have it done tommorrow. Hopefully that will fix it. I don't think you will have much trouble finding a race. I'm gonna fix the mustang tommorrow so it will be ready also.Should be a fun weekend.

try'd to spray it this morning and i'm still having problems.so i dont think the relay helped too much. this evening i changed the fuel psi.reg. and moved the air temp. sensor down stream to pick up colder air. maybe that will richen it up some. havent tryed it yet.later

yeah im racing fri.. n2o is better after i changed to colder plugs, although sometimes still does it slightly.i stepped it up to about a 130 shot and hit it this morning and it felt alot better. gonna try to win four weeks in a row.i did get to smack around a z06 corvette ,and some ls1's and mustangs last weekend. pretty fun. my transmission is the main issue tho. thats the big reason im not running the d.o.t.s. i havent really tried to make any kinda n2o run yet. i think i can run some 7.7s-7.8s probablly on my regular street tires and real low 7s on d.o.t.s but the trans. is getting worse. yeah, i saw all that stuff on the other site. i'll go up with ya. sat. night but i may pull the trans. sat. afternoon if my brother gets the rebuild kit for it. says he knows a guy at dayco that can get the entire rebuild kit for 48 bucks.thats their cost.id get the carb. fixed before i race because your not gonna be able to hook it on the spray on the street leaving on it. hey shawn, you know the only reason that guy p.o.s. dragqueen wants to waite two weeks is so they can throw every part they can get their hands on, at his car dont you?? itll probablly have a different engine, trans.,gear,n2o on it. the only thing thatll be the same is the body,but of course itll be 3-4 hundred lbs. lighter.so be prepared. later

Went to Brainard friday,made 1 pass and someone noticed one of my front runners had a big buldge in it (broken belt)So we left and went to pep boys but didnt get there in time.
So saturday went back to Brainerd.
Was pretty hot and the track wasnt working very well for me I am going to change some things on the suspension once I get the car tuned (ls1 edit on the way.)
Best of the night was 7.60@91 worse past of the night was a 7.68@89.
I was autotaping every run and the tune is really bad 20 plus on lftrims. 21 degrees timing and o2's in the 950 range.
I got the 7.60 by reseting the computer.that got my timing up to 27.5 but o2's went to the .980 range.
Best 60 ft was a spinning 1.68,my car was always in the 1.5 zone in ky or low 1.6 I am going to tune for this cam first then add ls-6 intake and larger cam.

damn Brent thats sad your only 2 tenths off my best ET on the spray and you on motor !!! Your car is a monster as always !! When ya coming up this way to run ?

yeah, the heat has been terrible this weekend. i didnt get to the track till about 8:30 fri. night. and my fans werent working to beat all so my temp. got up to 235-240 before i got to make a pass.when i pulled back in ,my car was puking water out the resivoir.only managed an 8.13 but it was on plain street tires leaving easy and my trans. is about shot. saw you leaving brent and didnt get to talk.those are some pretty strong numbers for your car especially in this heat. you ever talk to that guy with the red 00 ss.its a 6spd. and runs 7.4s all motor, but thats in cooler weather. we have a few cars that hangout at checkers in e.ridge on sat. nights from around 9:45 till ????? if you ever want to hangout. their was a couple races last night out their. a 03 s/c cobra ran a buddy of mine with a lt1 z28 with spray. it was the z28 by about 5 cars. then the z28 ran a 01 z28 with a 150 shot three different times. lt1 car won every time. a little duller than usual but still pretty fun. only about ten-twelve cars came out last night.

yeah, we were parked up on the hill. one of my buddies drives the maroon z28 with dragstars. dont know if the red 86 gt was their when you left,but that is nos86 on this board.406camaro was also their but not racing. my best 60ft.s were in the 2s fri. night but thats expected on those tires i guess. before i rebiult the engine it 60 ft. a best of 1.65 on tires, but the way the trans. is acting im reluctent to try it and also i wanted to run in the trophy class. and you cant use d.o.t.s in it.i would think that everyones car will pickup atleast a tenth or more when it cools off. my car was acting kinda funny since thursday. acted like it wanted to miss every once in awhile then sat. really got bad. would die going down the road, and when driving popped and sputtered. after looking at it earlier tonight and changing some plugs i noticed the map sensor had came unplugged. im suprised it ran at all. the plastic snap part has been broken off for awhile now so i tiewrapped it on now. my car is a 93 so it has a 4l60 not a 4l60e. read they were almost the same as a 700r4 except the valvebody is a little different. anybody know if a 700r4 torque conv. will work in my trans??? got a guy wanting to sale me one out of his vette for 50 bucks thats a 2400. my stock only stalls 1500. thought about getting it if i rebiuld my trans. later

whats up, congrats on the new kids guys. ok eric, ill try to answer your questions. yes,yes, no, i dont know, maybe,yes and sometimes. but seriiouslly, sand mtn. runs their test and tune on thurs. nights they have regular bracket racing on fri. or sat. nights not sure which. fri. night at brainerd i won the street class again. put the spray on randall's car but the solenoid
was stuck open so i let him borrow a spare but he's not the greatest driver so he only ran 8.60 @86 mph on street tires. my trans.is getting worse so my e.t.s arent that great 7.6s but i did get a rebiuld kit for it just gotta drop the trans. and do it. not a lot of cars sat. night.probablly nine cars. no body raced in chatt. some guys from al. and trenton came up and we went to cleve. kinda late. didnt get to see any action they just got back from racing right after we got their. heard the guys in the blue camaro talking some smack about running you but the way my hearing is ,i couldnt make out very much.they said it wouldnt be back out for a couple weeks tho. but with that AMAZING 7.18 they ran ,you dont have anything to worry about. mark gilbert is supposed to run brandon this coming week ,i think. i put my money on the stang. toby ,with the black 8? camaro blew a head gasket last weekend in cleve. after he got beat by derrick i think. thats about all the low down i can think of right now. as for aug. 11 ,im sure ill go. just not sure if ill race, depends on if i get the trans. fixed or not. i dont want to drive that far and not atleast be competitive. i would think high sixes would be competitive unless theirs some faster cars coming. i think my car is capable of that if the trans. is fixed and some n2o is added. hey billy c., if you need another engine check with speedautomotive.com ,i know they got a few. later

no ,powel was not their. that is a new motor in the blue car. not sure when ill pull the trans.. as you know thats my only ride. so, it would probablly be on a week end. hey billy c. have you tried a guy named billy grahm in alabama? he parts out late model f-bodies aswell. although i think hes kinda high. i found it on ask.com search engine. i think theirs also an add for it in some of the gm hightech mags. anybody from cross. be interested in a f-body get together at brainerd?? maybe in the fall?? i posted another thread here and on highperformancetoys.com (formerly smfbodies) and their seems to be some interest in it. just test and tune ,grudge racing and hangin out. it would be pretty fun. later

well got a new best for my small cam all motor combo last night in the heat.went a best of 7.46@91.
Not bad for this heat I need some suspension work in a bad way.
Next mod is the ls6 intake.

some good numbers, man. i went out fri. night and managed a 7.54 @92 but the trans. was slipping so bad ,my car would jump up on the rev limiter during each gear change. traction was bad fri. night so i left real easy, but i believe it would have hooked if i would have left harder since the trans. is slipping so bad. i only made two passes. one on d.o.t.s and one on reg. street tires which was an 8.29. shawn who posts under 406camaro also ran fri. he ran some lane changing tire spinning 6.1s@ 116 i think. later

his car is a 68 camaro. 6.1s was off pretty bad but cosidering the traction( or lack of) its understandable. ive seen it go 5.8s.
have you ever ran at steele before? ive ran down their three times. it is probablly the worst track as far as traction ,that ive ever been too. the right lane has sank and makes your car feel like you have a tire going down right before you go thru the lights. and the slowdown area has pot holes in it. they say the person that owns it is trying to sale it and doesnt want to spend any more money own it. it was built on top of a landfield and thats why the track has "settled". it lost nhra sanctioning a few years ago when moisture started coming up thru the track during a national event. blue skys and a wet track!!! i guess i cant say enough about steele .huh. if you go, dont go to the bathrooms. some people had smeared s#%t!! all over every wall, stall and anything else in their!! i almost threwup!! other than all that its a great place!! the only good thing i can say about it ,is the pits are all paved and that was nice, but their are broken bottles here and their ,so be careful. later

hey, whats up. dont know about crossville yet. they're saying we may have to work sunday night. i worked over today. we are swamped with orders. still havent fixed my car and dont really want to take it like it is. thats a long drive to brake something ,especially the trans. im sure ill go to brainerd this fri. the temp.s are down about ten degrees and the humidty is lower. im sure i could pick up another tenth. but havent decided to race yet. just cost so much to run every week. and i really need to fix my junk. i think roger is going to race fri. he had added a fuel pump last week and stepped up to a 175 shot. i think he can go some 7.4s. he just blew the tires off when i ran him on the street. i think thats about all the red stangs capable of. would really have liked to run him from a dead stop. but i think he knew what the outcome would have been. i was pulling on him when they ran from a roll except when my car made the shifts. i also pulled the gta in about two cars. could ve left alot harder when i ran but didnt see the need too. later

I didn't get to make it out tonight, but I went out last night(Friday night) here in Cleveland. There wasn't a whole lot going on, but I did get to see Casey Key ('93 gray Z w/383) run a green mustang and Andy Evans(white/purple mustang). Andy and Casey's run was a motor/motor run, but still a decent one to watch. What all went on, or maybe I should say is going on tonight?

sat. night we had a decent turnout. about thirteen to fifteen cars showed up. probably about ten were f-bodies. nice to meet everyone. no races really went down in chatt.. although i am supposed to run the mid 80's gta this next sat. night. went to cleve. late ,about 1:30 am . saw a few .the teal z28 ran a dfi black cobra and despite a three car jump by the cobra ,mannaged to roll on him a good five cars. the guys from trenton saw alot of action before i got their. and on the way home almost got busted by the cop that followed everyone on to the freeway. did get to run the two black t/a's from trenton. we went three wide. pretty fun. so who all won in the races in cleve.? how bout between the grey 93 383 car and the white and purple stang.?? didnt get to go to crossville sun. had to help pull the engine out of a friends 93z28. broke a piston. later

Hey Brent, glad you made it out Saturday night. As for crossville, you should have went, there were no cars in fuel injected naturally aspirated. You could have won the money. There were only two in FI assisted. Not a good turnout unfortunately, hopefully the next one will be better. See you saturday if you make it out.

brent , thanks for asking about crossville . you should have went . not any cars in your class as 406camaro said . i ran carb assisted with my mustang and got my butt handed to me . i made one good pass all day and it wasn't great 6.65@106 . i had all sorts of problems . i'll be out sat. in my car , got to see the two t/a's run . plus i want some of the gta too. if you can make it come back out sat.

I am doing some suspension changes now to the car nothing serious,Lower control arm relocating brackets and air bag.Hoping it will help it some. I may not get the relocating brackets on by this weekend but I will have the air bag in.
Next time I will make it Crossville for sure.

Im kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place right now , I may just be putting the Z back stock right now and buy a 90 lx to build , I found a pretty good deal on one with a real good motor and interior . the tranny needs shifter forks and the body is a little rough , But for 1,800 bucks I can't go wrong ..

well, the low down for this past weekend in chatt. is that the mid 80s gta i was supposed to race didnt show. he came out with a friend in a red 02 z28 with a 150 shot. they said he made some excuses why he didnt bring his ride but i didnt really ask. own my way out ,i tried mine and it ran terrible. so i went home and changed the map sensor. old one had a bad crack in the top. fixed the problem and ran pretty strong. although it had been loading up before and smoked bad when i got on it. a couple of new cars came out. a black 98-00 t/a with a big convertor. and a 94-97 gt mustang with a gt40 crate motor with x302 heads. the t/a ran the 02z28. i think the t/a had him from the start but the 02 came around him on top end. later the 02z ran the gt40 mustang and i lined up beside them. i couldnt tell when they were going to hit it so they both got a car or two jump. i came around both easily. the stang had the z for a good while but couldnt hold him off on top end. so i got a two in one kill. later eric(nos86) ran the red mustang .the one that was their that night you were. but for some reason eric avoided all logic and decided to hit both stages of n2o right from the get go. and on bfg's. so he went up in smoke and then his car was popping. so the red 94-95stang got him. the guy still want run from a dead stop allthough from the 10-15 roll they ran from it didnt spin at all. i think they said he wanted to run you and i told them that you had your trans. problems fixed but had to go to phenix city. oh, also the red 02z ran a red c5 vette and beat it twice. he also ran the red stang but got beat probablly by about three cars. the 02z is on plain street tires but doesnt spin too bad. its a six speed by the way. later

hey black 94z, i talked to a guy a few months ago at the strip that was also from ringgold with a black 94-95z28. dont know if it was you or not. i think it was a six speed and the guy said he couldnt make it out on weekends much because he had to work most of the time. the black 98-00 t/a that came out this past weekend is also from ringgold or ft. oglethorpe. it has a grey prim. ramair hood. i think his name is jimmy. altthough i didnt talk to the guy. later

My buddy Jimmy has a '99 Black T/A that didn't come with factory Ram Air, and I haven't seen him a few weeks, so it's possible that that was him. It wasn't me that you talked to though at the strip. Later.

Sorry it took me so long to reply. I've been trying to get ready to come back to school. I'm back up here, settled in, and classes started on Monday. Anyhow, the purple/white mustang beat the 93 Z by a good 2 1/2 to 3 cars. The Z isn't too slow, but it's not what it should be with the 383. I would say my car with LTs would hang with it and would probably beat it with LTs and cam. He was in the right lane and I was behind the mustang in the left lane. I got in it after I seen them take off and even from a 1 1/2 car lead and the jump, he only put maybe 3 cars at most between me and him. I might have been impressed if I had more done to my car. Well...time to do some statics and british lit.

hey 95 blackz, thats the guy with the t/a.the guy in the mustang that came with him was named janson ,i think.green car with a cowl hood and primered fender.
eric those slicks dont really have a dot left. i would think a light burnout and they would be good for a few more passes ,but not much. no cords showing tho. gilbert said last weekend that he would be in florida this weekend, so if your wanting revenge youll have to waite. my guess is that he probablly wont run you again. because now he can say he already beat you. later

whats up guy's. we try to make it to the track on fri.s but we should be out sat. night weather permitting. usually between 9:30 -10:00 to ??? as late as 6am before. not alot of the fast cars come out. mostly 7s -9s cars. but eric(nos86) and shawn (406camaro) are usually their. john came out last week and said he may bring the cutlass out. its been low 6s. george was also out but not in his car.the law harrassas him for some reason. hes been high 5s. if we know your coming we can probablly spread the word and get a few more cars out. own another note i may have to work sat night sec. shift hours. dont know yet. but even if i do ,ill be out their by 12:30 .alot of people dont even show up till 11:30 so i shouldnt miss much. sorry i couldnt make it up for the last race.but a friend of mine broke a piston that fri. night and i was obligated to help and let him use my garage. since he helped me. hope you guys can make it out!!!

oh forgot to mention, if you guys see an 87-93 purple lx coupe with silver stripes and pony wheels, dont race him. not sure but we suspect he's a cop. guy pulls in and trys to get races, but acts real strange. their are also two jeep cherokees that are undercover in eastridge. one is solid white, i think the other may be black.just so you know. also if you get to chatt. before 9pm you can get bottles filled just down the street from checkers at howard racing. its across the street and down about two blocks. its almost across from ryans steakhouse. later

hey crossville guys, ill assume you guys would be coming from hwy.27 heading south towards chatt. hwy.27 connects into interstate 24 in downtown chatt. probably about a mile or two after you cross the tenn. river. just split to the left onto i-24. after your on i-24 youll go about four or five miles and i-24 will run into i-75. head south bound towards atlanta. which is right. and after your on i-75 south, you take the first exit.(east ridge). its less than a mile after your on i-75.if you go into georgia then youve went to far. turn right and drive about three miles. theirs a sonic drivein and then checkers on the left. were at checkers. i think their will be a few more cars than usual.

whats up, good race. still havent had a chance to try my car again (wet roads). it acted like it was on the rev. limiter or it was loosing fire off and on. drove it today. and it acted like it shut off for a second then went right back to runing.this was at idle at a redlight. any ideas?????? i changed the coil this evening but havent drove it. it acted alot worse last weekend before i changed the map sensor. thought i had it fixed. car smokes like its running rich under WOT.i have enough spare parts to change one thing at a time so maybe ill get it fixed soon. wish some more cars had showed up. didnt expect the rain. i had to drive home at 30mph. i guess all things considered that we had a good time. nobody got caught. on another note, how about the dually. it runs 9s. not bad for a 7000lb. six cyl. also trying to get the viper to come out and race that red (94-95) mustang since he only runs from a roll. its been 7.3s @97. should be strong from a roll. later

I was out there Sat, sitting at Food Lion with the black C5 but it started lightning and stuff so we headed home. I may start hittin you guys up on Saturdays. Is that the only night you all hang out there? You guys go up there at all during the week. hey, i changed the coil yesterday evening. while i was doing so i noticed one of the ground wires was broken off at the end.( their are about five or six grounded on one of the bolts that hold the coil on). it was the blue one. anyway, i fixed that. not sure if it fixed the problem or not. on the motor it only messes up every once in awhile. havent sprayed it yet. i have to put the tires back on it or hit it from a high gear roll to hook it on street tires. and their was too much traffic to do that this afternoon. i have changed the opti. before and even have a good spare. but this acts like the fire comes and goes like a rev. limiter. when it was bad before it just popped. as far the red(94-95) mustang. i havent raced him, but i was behind him when he ran the 85-86 red gta. he didnt seem to pull me any from a roll. i have stepped the car up since then. but that was when my car wasnt messing up. i beat the teal 94z28 by about five cars three weeks ago and got beat by him sat. night, so its hard to say how you'll do judging by our race. i honestly believe his car would run 7.3s-7.4s. he beat the teal car by about two to three cars. eric(nos86) would have easily beaten him had he even came close to hooking. the guy thinks it will run in the sixes but its not anywhere close to that unless he's really stepped it up alot. ok ,the barracuda beat jack the first time by a big hole shot. cuda went 6.9s to jacks 6.8s. they ran again and jack won. 6.83 to a 6.95or 6.97. and yeah, i read that on the other message board about cleve. hey jimmy, feal free to come out with us on sat. nights the more the better. like nos86 said were ussually at the track on fri. nights. ive came out to f/o last year some and ran the blue ss with white stripes and a red 94-? mustang. and beat both. no one really wanted to race after that. that was last summer. saw your car across the street from my house a couple of weeks ago on melody ln. off three notch. later guys

no ,i believe it would run 7.3s-7.4s spraying it. probably a 8.0s on the motor. of course im guessing their. the only thing i have to go buy their is, he punched it on freeway coming back from cleve. about five cars in front of the tealz28 whom i was riding with at the time. the teal car was able to run him down but it took a few seconds. soon as we got up to his quarterpanel he lifted. now i dont know how much he's spraying ,and im sure he could probablly step up. but i think he's so confident after beating eric that he doesnt think he'd have to.the hennessy viper may be out next weekend ,not sure. but it is extremely strong up top! he loves to race mustangs. later

I dont know if its the same jack or not but last time I was in cleveland Scott in the s-10 raced him...The night that the cutless ran through the median and about killed every body...Then the law came and we had to go...The cutless was racing hin when he wrecked.Jacks car seemed pretty strong then...Has it still got a 406 in it???Scott Won but only buy a fender so it was a pretty good race...That was back when my car was a 7.60 beast...

94 black bwt. yeah, i heard he was getting it painted orange. i used to have a 66 chevy2 nova that was hugger orange. love hugger orange ,its a little brighter than his color. im always game for a good race, atleast if my junk will run right. my car should be in the high sevens on the motor. im having a few problems right now but its already been low 8s in 97 degree temps. on the motor. and aroud 7.4s spraying it. when i get the trans. fixed i believe 6.9s are possible. not that thats fast tho. but decent for a daily driver. crossville guys, yes thats the same guy (jack). i wasnt their the night the cutlass ran thru the median but was their the night he beat jack. and yeah, looked like he got him by a good four cars. mustang runs 7.3-7.4s on the motor and 6.8s spraying it. not alot of real fast cars up in cleve. Yes that is true but Supposedly the mustang didnt spray him the second time either..Because we both know that the cutlass straining its guts out in 60 degree weather with Scott Brown Driving only went a 6.97 which is still strong on motor but When I get to Run mine in 60 Degree weather 6.80s are For sure on motor..7.06 @99MPH is what it runs on motor now but that was the first and only motor pass I have even made in the car..The spray is just too addictive...Any way Brown Just Beat the Car(JACK) by a fender and Browns truck was faster than tracys car By 3 or 4 tenths on the spray and tracie put 4 cars on him(JACK) then thier is no way he sprayed tracy or he would have won....Do you see what I am saying...They had a big motor race I think....He was probally a little afraid too race him anyway seeing he almost took the car out in the first race....But for the record I dont Give a shiit because The cutlass dont want none of the Nova...At all...

i had heard back then that jack was on the motor. that would make since. on another note i found a plug in the wiring harness that wasnt plugged up and fixed it yesterday. runs better than ever on the motor. havent tried the spray yet. which was when the car was really having problems the other night. solenoids would open then shut again everytime i tried it yesterday. the connector going into the switch was messed up. also fixed that but havent tried it yet. other than just clicking it.

the 6speed is worth alot more than the auto. so if i where you ,i wouldnt swap even. speedautomotive in cleve.tn, will swap and probably give you some money or you could trade for some parts. late model f-bodies is all they deal in. i just read the post this sat. morning so, sorry i didnt post earlier. went to the track last night. and made three motor passes and one spray. 8.31/ 7.49 .trans was slipping worse and caused the car to jump on the rev limiter pretty bad on the spray. not gonna run it again till i get the trans. fixed. we should be out tonight at checkers so hope to see everyone out their. later

I don't think I am will be racing anybody since I only run 8.50's.

well we had a pretty decent bit of cars out tonight. probably 25-30.with a few being cars thats not been out before. started off slow but got better later. hey lt99, didnt know if you guys made it up.what color was your car?? i know their was a nice silver ls1 camaro their. their was also a blackss ls1 that came out but didnt realy talk to anybody.their where alot of cars from trenton and alabama. good to see you guys. a decent bit of racing aswell(atleast eight to ten). hey brent b., their was a black 94formula that was wanting to race you.they might be back next weekend.he also wants to run gilbert's red mustang(94-95) i think. their was a black turbo supra from huntsville,al up and he ran a nova and got beat. nos86 ran a vortec s/c mustang twice and beat him bad both times. i ran a blue mustang with flames twice and beat him pretty bad both times. the red02z28 ran the s/c mustang twice and it was a spilt decision. the red 93 t/a of my cousins ran a mid 80s camaro with a 383 and got beat by a car. then he ran a new gt and beat it and lost to the red 02z28. im sure their was more action but thats all i can think of right now. later

Shannon have you tried Ford Type F in there? made mine shift a little better.Before I used it I used to have set the 2-3 shift to shift 8 mph early with a power programmer.So that stuff helped me a bunch.

havent tried type f. but as soon as we get the maroon car going again and i get something to drive for a week, im gonna try to drop mine out and get it rebuilt. a guy that was watching our race had them bring the black car out. i told him he should run the mustang in the viper from a roll. he said he'd do it in the formula. i doubt he'll want any of the formula tho. then again he probably want run the viper either. even tho its stock.

Allow me to set the record straight on the whole 94 Firebird. He didn't come out there to race you or anyone else Saturday night. He was racing the car Sunday in the 7.00 Hotrod class and just wanted to drive it a bit since it hasn't been driven in 8 months or so. The only people out there that really would have been a decent race would have been Shawn, Eric, or Chris (in the dually) and we needed help against all of those. I told Tony before we even went out there that a race with your car and his Firebird would have been way lopsided in favor since, afterall, it has run a 10.02@138 in the quarter. He wouldn't come out there and just beat up on people that he knew he could outrun unfairly. He doesn't do things like that. However, he is game for racing you in the Viper when you get your car running again. I guess Shannon just wants someone to beat up on the cars that have whipped him in street races lately, huh?

They ran 7.0 at Brainerd. They run that on Outlaw weekends on Sunday. Basically, it's an anything goes class with a 7.0 index. As for him being not out to get you, I just didn't want you to think that with Shannon naming you and saying he was out there specifically to race you.

I never said that you made anything up, I just didn't want Brent to think that the sole reason for Tony even coming out that night was to race him. After all, in your message up there you name Brent and say that the car was out there to race him. I just wanted to clear up that misunderstanding. I told Tony before we ever left the track to go get the Bird that his Viper and Brent's Camaro would be a good race. As for racing Gilbert, I'm sure he'd do that but he's not going to race anyone when 40 cars go along to draw attention to the deal. That's why he didn't go watch the Nova and the Supra race.

Update from Cleveland guys, sorry it won't be very detailed 'cuz I don't know anyone up there yet. The guy from Trenton in the S/C 'stang did run another stang while I was there and he won. The guy didn't drive the red 'vette so we didn't get a rematch but he was there and we got a good laugh out of the excuses we heard from the Supra dude. Anyone heard of a torque converter getting hot? I leaft kind of early, I didn't even know Supra dude ran anyone untill I read it above. I'm sure there's an excuse for him losing that one to. Later

tried posting last night,but for some reason didnt work. daniel, i understand your point of view. when you guys pulled up sat. night. i thought you guys had come to run the mustang since i had asked you or chris about it a week before. tony racing brent honestly never crossed my mind. someone said "he must be here to run the black camaro". and since you had been out the week before and showed up with tony that night i guess that was the assumption. i just wanted to clear that up. as for getting someone to outrun a car just because it outran me, that really doesnt make any sense. its still not a win for me so it doesnt really matter. i havent gotten anyone to run eric, and ive been beaten by him. also the only reason i was trying to get tony to run that mustang was because he wouldnt run me from a dead stop. he only wants to go from a roll. and also, i dont race on the freeway. atleast not after i got pulled over two or three weeks ago. i try to keep everyone informed of what happens out their, on this site. because it really seems to help get people to come out. again just wanted to clear that up. wasnt trying to instigate anything.

oliracing, sure was a large turnout from the trenton-al. gang. hope you guys can make it back soon. what color mustang did the the s/c mustang from trenton race? what color stang did the supra race? i didnt really expect to race anyone last sat. night.and didnt come prepared. i ran at the strip fri. night and had decided not to race again till i had fixed my trans. it seems i keep throwing more power at my car and get only slight improvements while hitting the rev limiter more and more due to slippage. but, if the s/c stang wants to run this weekend then i'll give it a shot.if it will help get some cars out. just let me know. hey lt99ls1, saw your car. looks good. hope you can make it back up. eric's posting on the mustang boards in hopes to get some more cars out aswell.

I certainly understand how perceptions can get twisted. I don't know who it was that was telling Tony about Brent's car before we came out there, but sure it was the same person telling you that Tony was out there to race him. I don't think he'd mind racing the Mustang with the Firebird. Getting him to come back out and play is the trick.

Just to set the record straight about our last MSSRA race, the orange Mustang was in EFI N/A and assisted, but since there were no other EFI cars in the assisted class, it was cancelled, and he had to race the T/A in N/A class. He ran those 6.80's on motor. How many are coming up for the October race?

hey 96 formula, i live between ft.o and ringgold right off 2a. havent seen your car tho.like nos86 said, were at checkers in e.ridge on sat. nights around 10pm but it doesnt get busy till around 11 or so. their was about 30 or more cars their last week with 93-02 f-bodies making up atleast half of that. also, i dont have to work sat. so i'll be out.

hey jimi, on the who's who. i drive the green 93t/a. nos86 drives the red 86mustang gt with dragstars, 406camaro drves the primered 68 camaro with weld wheels he also has a white 91lx, and brent b. drives the black ls1 camaro with rodlights. oliracing is one of the guys from trenton and drives different cars from a white iroc to a green 93-97 z28. i think thats most of the regulars that post on here. later

Shannon, (Slow93Ta) outran Aaron in the mustang. Hurt something though. Kitchens, outran Aaron also. Kitchens hurt his too. And finally Aaron managed to win one, outran a mustang from Chatsworth. I beleieve that was it, but feel free to chime in if I forgot some.

I'll probably show up this saturday...But all my hot rods are out of order right now.

I took the Camaro to two different dealerships in the last week. Both said they wouldn't even be able to look at the car for at least a week. I took it to Herb Adcox yesterday and asked if I could leave my car and have a loaner. They refused and told me it would be ok to drive the car until they call me to come in and have it looked at. So I leave the dealership and head home...

ON THE WAY HOME I went to shift from third to fourth and the car wouldn't come out of gear OR go back in. It sounded like every tooth/piece of metal in the tranny got thrown in a blender. Even though the car was in gear the shifter was in a place that it SHOULDN'T be in gear.

Sooo...I got to call the dealership fifteen minutes after I left and told them that the tranny locked up and who did their towing for them. heh...

This all happened yesterday...I called about an hour ago and they've already got the tranny out of the car. I'm getting ready to head down there real quick before their service department closes and take a look at it and see what they have to say.

I just got back from the dealership. I asked the tech if he had found anything wrong and all he said was, "This thing is ****ed." heh...He was also pretty pissed about what Newton did to my rear end. I think they slapped a band aid on it and sent me on my way.

They gave me a 2001 Saturn SL2 with unlimited miles to drive. Does anyone happen to know what size dry shot the fuel pump/injectors can handle? heh... ; )

Funny how they couldn't look at it for a week...But after it gets towed right back in they have the entire exhaust removed and the tranny sitting on the ground completely disassembled in less than 24 hours.

i got a question ! chadtn had the idea of putting some pictures from checkers on a post to show the crowds . what do you guys think about this ? maybe it'll draw more people out .

Whats worse is Brents car now has my old rodlites , so It look exactly what mine used to !!! i don't know if i'll bring my car the 19th . but i should be up too watch tho . my car wants to spin on the track and twist . if i can get some new tires i might bring it anyway . i anin't got nothin for josh . but i think i might come for the next race whenever it might be ready with two or three cars . my brotherinlaw has got a coupe were putting a 460 in . my coupe is on the way back together . and my 86 . it's got to get some bars in it ! but it works pretty good on the street with drag radials .
