Not that it will impress some... but some kills with my new 3.8L...

1st... kill newest looking turbo talon, like a 95 I think. Raced away, it was a wierd race, I got him on hte launch and expected him to catch up like they usually did in my old 3.4L, but I jsut sat in front and pulled very very slightly, and I could hear a PFFFSSssssssss BOV going off on each shift, a surprise to me, since I still have stock exhasut that I can actually hear other things then my own car in a race. In the end put about 4 lengths on him... I am assuming some basic mods(intake, exhaust), but no major turbo work, but at least a modified or louder BOV.

2nd, driving around picking up some Nacho Cheese for my movie theatre at other local theatres(we ran out), some ****** almost drills me with a mid 80s S-10, peeling out through the parking lot, screwing around. truck was pretty loud, but I am assuming a 2.5 4-banger, because a 2.8L woudl have alot deeper tone.

Either way later down the street we were side by side at a light, he had a freind with him, I had me and my girlfirend and about 200 lbs of nacho cheese in the hatch

Light turns green he peels out, spins then catches, I launch, teeny spin, not a hard launch and blew by him like he was standing still and shut down at like 75 mph... he did the typical shame move, of next light, not even pull up to the line but sit in the lane next to me a car lenght back.

Couple civics... nothing without serious money put in them most likely non-vTecs...

I want to get lines up with a few pre 99 GTs, with a few mods(nothing major) preferably an auto

Just some v6 fun...

I am looking to through in LSD, maybe some 35/19mm sway bars, and put my STB back on. And an electric cutout with an intake...

Daydreaming of a 14.4... but if I cut my 2.16 60's to a 2.0 flat would be nice, really bring my times down...

Good kills! Those 3.8s run well. I race a bone stock m/t version in my old '95 GT. That stang ran 14.4 at 96ish (gears, pulleys, cat back, & bs mods). I got him by 2-3 cars out of the hole and only pulled about another car on him to the 1/4 mile. I think you could do very well against stock or nearly stock Stang GTs pre-'99.

Eric's a badass driver, I wouldn't want to pull up next to him in a pre-'99 4.6 Stang...

A 14.4 would be great if you can get it. That's what I ran with my LT1 with a CAI the first time I ever went to the track. Granted the weather sucked(86 degrees and 80 percent humidity).

Good luck with your goal. Nice kills. If you can hit 14.4, you might even be able to take LT1's by surprise.

He kept up till 80ish. good run...

Spec V is not that impressive, http://www.car-stats.com/stats/shows...tsgivenid.aspx

A 3.8 Camaro 5-speed would do very well against one.

lol i didnt know ppl still use that cheesy site... well anyways ive seen his spec run very low 15s no mods. Point is a car that weighs over 3200 lbs with only a weezy 200 hp isnt considered fast in my book. now i aint saying a spec V is all that, im sayin these new *** cars in general are a few years ahead with v6s and 4s.

If it is so cheesy find a better site that has unbiased 1/4 mile times from ALL cars. They do testing with a full tank of gas, not powershifting and corrected for sea level. So of course someone can get better times from a given car. Point is a Spec V is not fast in my book. Yes some of these Japanese cars are impressive with small motors, Evo, Sti.......

Are you blind? Right in his sig it says 14.6 with $0 in mods. I'm no math wiz but I'm pretty sure thats faster than low 15s.

good kills
you should have no problem with pre 99 gt's , (i think i mentioned this in a previous thread but)my moms 95 v6er auto. camaro with intake , exhaust , & minor suspension beat my buddies 95 Gt with pulleys intake ,exhaust , m5, and she was driving!!
my maxima ran 14.8 with cai , too bad its fwd! the suspension work on her car helped out a great deal , the car felt better , and was worth the money.Good luck with your goals !

Pre 99 ? Yeah right , if he is running a 14.4 he would do damn well , if not beat , a stockk 99+ GT .

are "LTs" LT1's? my Z ran 14.2 stock , with 3.73 gears from the factory in perfect weather& track condition.

were those 14.6 LT1's in caprices? b/c those times suck . but then you got young drivers or if you trip the lights and get no traction , or the car has 180k miles on it and is run down.

MY '95 GT ran the 14.4! Stock 99+ GTs have run mid to high 13s. Yeah, stock 3.8 Camaros beat 99+ GTs all the time . Back to grammar school, little boy.
