Detroit and MI residents, GET IN HERE. NAIAS question

Is there any public transportation running between the airport and the NAIAS? Looking for alternatives to renting a car, thanks.

Sorry for no 5th gen content. I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.

have you tried looking into more information the NAIAS web site? They should have some information there.

Also look at www.detnews.com
and
www.freep.com they may have some more information there.
Good luck.. make sure you take some pics..

Detroit outlawed public transportation in 1963.

Yup. Anyone choosing to ride in, drive, or attempt to sell any type of public transportation is subject to a $1000 fine and summary execution.

LOL, wouldn't doubt it, the only public transportation is the people mover (obove ground subway), but it doesn't go to the airport, just the downtown area, there are busses, but not sure of their routes.

Thanks all for the helpful info. I did indeed check the NAIAS site, but it only provided maps, no mention of shuttles or other public transport, which is why I asked here, seemed there was more NAIAS talk going on here than anywhere else.

RP, looking at Monday or Tuesday, would fly in in the a.m. (arrive about 10am), then fly back out again that afternoon/evening. You gonna be around?
