Got a little smoke from under the hood...

It is only coming out of the left side where the blower is. I think it's the seals on the blower because it only happens sometimes and my drain hose has a slight dip in it. Next oil change I'm going to shorten the drain hose so it doesn't dip but are my blower seals shot??? How do I get new ones? Send to vortech?

Whenever I try to check it out when the smoke comes out it stops by the time I get under the hood. Could oil leak past the seals and burn on the blower or would it leak into the intake tube. What else could it be?

Is that even my problem? My car smells like burnt something (possibly oil) when I drive sometimes and it's getting annoying. I put a ton of time into the car for it to stink when I drive it.

My experience has been that if there is something mechanically wrong with your charger you won't make boost and as far as the smoke goes, I assume by what you describe that you have an oil line to your pan. If you have a small leak somewhere in that line, it may not show up at idle. The charger requires more oil under boost, but it will only make boost under a load. Best way to check for the leak is on the dyno.

I just had a thought... I forgot to use teflon tape on the fitting for the alcohol line. Hmm I will try that too.
