From the Cruisin Times Magazine...
THIS JUST IN ..... just got off the phone (June 11th) with Tom Shine from the (Kipco Realty) the company that owns the property where the Brunswick (Oh.) Saturday night Rte 303/I-71 Cruise is held. "Due to amount of calls the Brunswick Police received from the past Saturday night, this coming Saturday night (June 15) will be the Last One. The Brunswick police will be there to turn everyone away." He went on to say that he would like interested parties/promoter/car club to call him if they would like to ORGANIZE a cruise on their property (K-Mart, Giant Eagle, Wendy's same location). He also mentioned that since this year, since it's been "unsponsored" it has gotten out of hand. Please call 330-702-8000 Tom Shine, Kipco Realty for further infomation. The Brunswick Saturday Night Cruise has been one of the largest, longest, most famous Cruise-Ins, known through out the hot rod community. Hot Rod Magazine, Car Craft and the Cruisin' Times magazines have given it awards for Top Ten Cruises over the years. It originally started as Carney's on Rte 303, then moved during the late 80's to it's present location. Ironically, Laurel Square (the original home of Carneys) will host a one time cruise this Saturday night!
