Will SRT-4 see tail-lights this time?

OK back this summer i raced an 03 SRT-4, two times, both from a dead stop. The first run i put at least 1 1/2 lengths on him until he passed at the 2-3 gear shift. The next run was a week or so later also from a dead stop. This time my friend was the one driving. We took off at the green light and he got the jump and we pretty much stayed at his rear bumper the whole race. Now when these races took place i had 2 other people in the car with me, they are skinny dudes so it was about 250 lbs which from what i have read is about 2.5 tenths. Also when this race took place i had the original motor with 76k miles with just a K&N CAI and the Borla, and bald tires. When the car gets goin again it will have the mods in the signature. When the motor gets broken in and I get the drag radials, what do you think the outcome will yield? Also anyone have any guesses on possible 1/4 mile times or hp numbers? Thanks

Considering the '03 SRT-4 runs about 14.0 at 100 MPH, I would say that you will take him pretty well unless he's modded it also.

I'm guessing you'll have about 290 rwhp if you have an A4. I could be way off though. WIth a good launch with the drag radials I see you in the mid 13's @ over 100 easy.

I'm just guessing though based on what I've seen other's run with similar mods.

Why don't you throw a small cam in there while you have the engine rebuilt. PERFECT time to do it. Even something like the hotcam kit for about $450. That gives you the 1.6 RR's with it, so you're only spending another $200 for the cam and springs...

Yea i thought about doing the whole cam thing. My funds are VERY limited. The headers came as my x-mas gift from my mom. A new opti is gonna cost me the x-mas gift from my dad. I talked my gf and her mom into gettin me the roller rockers. Since winter is here we are just going to take our time on the car bc i dont want to get it running and then wreck it on a slick road. We have the intake manifold on already, will I have to take it back off if i get a HotCam? My b-day is in January and then i have my income tax check so I may be lookin at a HotCam then. Thanks for the reply.
