will brake cleaner eat o-rings/gaskets?

i just have a lot of dirt and grime on top of my intake, and i was wondering if i could just take brake cleaner and spray it off. the only reason that i was concerned about doing this is i didnt know if brake cleaner some how got onto the injectos and got on their o-rings if it would eat them away.. that wouldn't make me a happy camper...

so, is it safe to try?

thanks

take some carb cleaner to it.. that wont mess up gaskets .. you are supposed to spray it in the TB..

Don't spray carb cleaner in the throttle body...spray throttle body cleaner in the throttle body. The carb cleaner will eat the protective coating (unless the cleaner is designed to clean both). The carb cleaner should be OK on the exterior though.

The brake cleaner will also eat rubber.
