Slo-rides Blown and Stroked T/A vs my N/A stock LT1 results inside----->>>
Well we all meet up at the sonic at dezavala and bs'ed for a while. Everyone was pretty cool and seemed to be a cool hangout(not many cops)
Well since we all meet for one reason, to race we finally did so. So we go down to where we wanna run from, but with me not being familiar with S.A. i took the wrong exit and got lost
Oh well i knew how to get back so we tried again.
First run we line up and go from about a 20-25 mph roll. Well i get the jump and pull about a car ahead. And i stay there till 3rd when i pull a little more, but when i got to 4th he makes that right back up, so the race ended with about me a car ahead.
Then we decide to do it again, this time KC is gonna jump in on his 996 Honda
So we line them up and Slo-ride says go, and i say "what" as they take off the car bogged for a sec and by the time i was going KC is about 2 cars up and Slo-ride is about 1 1/2 cars up on me. But Slo-rides car kinda stumbles or something because i made up that 1/2 car lenght and stayed 1 car length back till the top of 4th.
KC was about 10 cars if not more ahead
All in all our cars were pretty close all the way through. The bike was well....fast
Cant wait to do it again when he gets that car running right.
But then again i might have a few suprises for him then too
Great race guys, and it was nice to have meet you all

Nope all thats in the sig is what i have. Ahart383 can attest to it. Just exceptional driving on my part
Slo-rides is a 97 TA ATI procharged 10#'s, Stroked, with a CC305, Edelbrock headers, exhaust, 3.73's, and Ed wright programming. When he gets the thing running like it can he can kiss the rear and that Auto tranny good bye!!
Nah Slo was just having some issues to work out on the car.
His car sounds pretty good though.
Hey anytime, BTW if you still want help installing those LT's email me

<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">I had a great time, though. You need to come back down this weekend. I have a feeling I'll be able to give you guys a better race. Peace.

I'm still working out some SERIOUS tuning/combination issues. I don't hide, though. If someone wants to race, I'll race. Excuses are for punks. I'll run even when I know I don't stand a chance (whether from car problems or just knowing the other guy is faster). This weekend the FLP longtubes, hi-flo cats, and Y-pipe go in. This is going to do a few things. One is release a shiotload of backpressure. Another is it's going to lean the car out at the top end where it is currently running about 10:1(A/F). Third gear starts at 12.5:1 and by the time I get to 5,500 RPM my A/F is at 10.5:1. Not good but easily attributed to a restrictive exhaust. I'm running FAT at the higher RPMs. This has fouled my plugs and is killing hp.
Ford, you beat me straight up. No excuses. But because you beat me, you're at the top of my list of rematches. Yes, I said rematchES, meaning you're not the only one that has handed me my **** here lately. I'm not afraid to lose. It makes winning that much sweeter..........Besides, when you're getting beat you have the best seat in the house.

Ya that must have been a good seat with the cut-out blaring in your ear
Maybe next time I'll start the race standing next to my bike. You say "go", I'll hop on and get going.
Seriously though, you don't know how scary it is to be going 120, then slowing down and hoping that the 2 cars behind you don't run into you.

You guys kill me.
KC starting in the grass or standing next to his bike is hilarious but actually a good handicap.
Yes Ford, your exhaust sounds good. I'm sure you'll enjoy my FLP's the next time around. If you can still hear them out in front of you way off in the distance........

Bad. Even worse now that I quit delivering pizzas and can't find a real job. But I'm really trying to get into apartment leasing, so if you hear of anything in that field (or any other) let me know.

Somebody please explain how a blown/stroked/cammed car loses to light bolt on car?
A car that should be hitting 120+ in the traps losing to a car that should hit 103-104?
Is the tuning from Ed Wright that bad?

2) I was on street tires (little traction)
3) The car is tuned for LT's but has a very restrictive exhaust system (LT's go on this weekend)
4) The car is RICH and the plugs are bad
The car spins out of the hole or even from a roll, it makes decent power for a very short period of time and then falls on its face just after 5k rpm. The cam is done at about 5,200 and the exhaust doesn't help. I can only assume that the LT's will extend the power a few hundred more rpm and will make decent power until my cam change and TC purchase. Things will be quite different here REAL soon. Stay tuned. Besides, like I said before, I don't hide. Whether I'm tuned or not, I'll race. I mean, how many times does someone in a stock car get to brag about beating a stroked and blown car? Ford's a good kid. He and KC kept me entertained. It was worth it. They both know my car isn't running right. If they don't, they will soon.
