We finally picked up the 67 coupe I was talking about buying a while back. Its going to eventually be my stepson's daily driver, so I'm letting him make all the big decisions. We're going to go through the parts today to figure out what can be polished/painted and what needs replacing. Naturally, the mods I was planning for my own 67 rally sport are on hold for now. I'll be updating my cardomain page with new pics as the process develops. Stay tuned.

Chris's 67 Camaro Z/28-SS clone (http://camaroz28.cardomain.com/memberpage/240075/5) (It's basically a plain Jane dressed up like a Z/28, plus the kid wants "SS" badges. :p)

Comments and suggestions are encouraged.

Thanks for looking.

Nice find.

Did you have it painted yourself or did you buy it in that condition?

If you need to replace the tail light bezels, mine are 67s are are nearly 100% perfect - maybe redo the black. I will probably pick up a pair of 68 bezels. I replaced the lenses with correct 68 SS lenses and realized that the bezels were from a 67.

I hooked up with the guy just before he painted the car, so I was able to pick the color, add stripes, a cowl hood and rear spoiler. The car is missing most of the chrome trim though and needs a lot of little things. I'm now thinking a paid a little on the high side, however knowing that it sat in storage for almost 20 years before about 5 years ago, its virtually a soild rust free car. Its going to be a "driver" anyway and based on that we should be ok.

I just need to figure out why the speedometer isn't working. :p I might end up re-wiring a lot of the under dash add-on stuff. It looks like spaghetti right now.

I might take you up on those light bezel's Norm. These are kind of pitted and since I'll be replacing 90% of the chrome anyway... its the little things that help the overall look.

I'll keep them on hand and let you know before throwing them on eBay.

The more I see of these cars, the better I feel about my purchase.
