he told me after he did exhaust and CAI that hed be down to 14 flat, and i said yea then ud hang w/ me and hes like omg id walk all over u
he said cause he had higher rpm redline 8000, and longer gears (not sure what he means by that) that he'd win

Just a quick question.. what Celica on earth have you seen run low 14's with just intake and exahust

I'll tell your brother the same thing that I told the ricer at the track last week...if his car with an intake and exhaust runs a 14 flat I'll FedEx him a dollar. (Must have timeslips and video, of a toyota matrix with intake and exhaust on a FULL 1/4 track!)

Here is a story of the ricer I talked about up there ^.
I've got a buddy with a cavalier (hell even I own a cavalier, but that's not the point) and he was in line at the track. This dude with this primered, neon'd, a wing boeing would be envious of, and a exhaust/intake...started talking to my buddy with the cavalier about the cavaliers muffler "Yeah, I almost bought that muffler...but I didn't like it, my muffler gives me some mad hp" After I quit laughing. I asked him what all he had done to it...he said intake and exhaust. I asked him what he thought it would run...and he said "If it doesn't run a 14 I'm selling it" Without missing a beat, I pulled out $1. and said "If this car runs a 14, I'll give you this dollar...Hell if this car runs a 15 I'll give you this dollar" He then said "Well if it doesn't run a 15 then I'm gonna sell it."
Well we finally get up to the staging lines...(and he's running my buddy's cavalier, which is NOT fast) and 17.4 seconds later the probe finished...my buddy ran a 16.3 (well off his best of a 15.7)
So a little later I went back up to the primerd probe guy and asked him if he was gonna sell his car...he said and I quote "My clutch is messin up. If it was working right I would have run 3 or 4 seconds faster" I just laughed and call him a ricer before I walked off...he didn't like that, but he wasn't even going to get out of his "Mad Tyte Ride y0"
Anyways, just thought I would share my story, and for you to let your brother know I'll give him $1. if he can run a 14 flat with just intake and exhaust.

Oracle17 11-05-2003, 01:51 PM GTS celicas run low 15's with a good driver. This one kid in north virginia ran a 14.3 with just i/h/e. Yes a gts can, for some reason run low 14's with just a i/h/e. Just like an rsx can hit 13's with i/h/e and a reflashed ecu.
Weird, but nothing compared to that ripleys believe it or not ****
