How much can the stock clutch and 10 bolt take.
How much can the stock clutch and 10 bolt take.
At what point to the stock clutch and rear end need to be replace and i know i will get it can hold up to 1000 its the shock that breaks it im talking about on average and i will be going to the track about 1 a week and with some spirited street driving. I will be using drag radials also. Basically i plan to have about 400rwhp and i can do it alot sooner if i dont need a rear end or clutch etc. are there any other drivetrain parts that will brake also. Thanx
If your going to drag race the car, you need a stronger rear end for sure. The stock rear end will hold up to street driving on radials, it is not strong enough for track duty, that is for sure. Too many guys have broken them, they are not reliable.
Can't the stock clutch handle quite a bit of horsepower like around 450rwhp...I know my clutch has almost 75,000 mileage on it and there's no sign of slipping at all and I drive it hard too, crazy eh :P~
I think that this question is really imposable to answer. The rear could hold 400RWHP but it is only a mater of time before it breaks. When will it break I don’t think anyone can give you a definite answer on that one. As for the stock clutch I think it would hold 450RWHP just as long as u don’t hit the gas

HELL NO!!!, i see ppl with 10k mi and couple bolt-ons already replacing clutches after driving hard. Stock clutches were ment to drive somewhat smooth which means you give up holding power so your mom doesnt break here neck trying to drive it.
