Riverside, CA?madhatter 10-07-2003, 09:26 PM anyone near there? I may be moving there soon and would liek some input. desert_fox_74 10-08-2003, 12:28 AM No! You can't leave too! Who's going to be left. :( BiGGinZ 10-08-2003, 05:06 AM I am about 30 mins from riverside go there all the time. It is a nice place, lots of stuff to do in my opinoin. Lots of nice cars, saw a ls1 with intake full exhaust on that freeway the other day. If you want to know anything just ask.;) poxz 10-08-2003, 03:33 PM I am from riverside and its great here. nice and close to any and everything. WS6Formula 10-09-2003, 04:39 PM I hope you're not moving there to escape the ungodly heat & desert... madhatter 10-09-2003, 07:03 PM Originally posted by WS6Formula I hope you're not moving there to escape the ungodly heat & desert... If that were the case I would be moving to Seattle. As much as I want to move to Seattle, I need to stay close to family and friends. I am moving there for school. What are the laws there for students? I know in AZ you are exempt from emissions if you are a student from another state. Also, how far is it for a track and a dyno? kick Z tail out 10-09-2003, 08:39 PM Originally posted by BiGGinZ I am about 30 mins from riverside go there all the time. Until then I'm ashamed to be seen with this commuter ;) Jim, you've got to go shooting one of these days with David and myself. Madhatter: I'm pretty sure there are at least 2 dynos in Riverside.. California Speedway in Fontana has a strip they just recently put together in the parking lot. It's a fairly short drive. Banning has Drag City which should be open by now, it's about 25-30 minutes east of the city. Higher elevation there though. I work alarm response as an armed officer, and we work closely with all the PDs... So I just have to warn you that Riverside PD is hardcore, they don't f*** around. :D It's funny... Californians are bailing out of this state as quick as they can and it seems Arizona residents keep coming here. ;) madhatter 10-09-2003, 10:32 PM Originally posted by kick Z tail out I work alarm response as an armed officer, and we work closely with all the PDs... I am more worried about having to register my car there. Here in AZ, if you are from outside the state and a student, you can keep your home-state plates. BiGGinZ 10-10-2003, 03:12 AM Kick Z, I live in Beaumont right next to Banning. I am like 10 mins fom Hemet. Yea, whenyou get a z I will meet up with you one time. verbs 10-18-2003, 01:57 AM I've driven through Riverside and it looks like a dump to me. Sorry to hear you're leaving. :( I'll be living in LA from mid Nov. to June 30 if you're out there. CamaroCasanova 10-22-2003, 06:27 PM Not a dump, it has bad parts like anywhere. Actually lots to do, nice place real nice winter weather. Went to UC riverside for undergrad studies. Loved it. | ||
