NOS Remote Bottle Opener Switch Wiring

Alright guys, I have the wires running to the 12 volt, 20 amp momentary switch I bought from Radio Shack, and I have a power supply from a 20 amp fuse. I have tried to make a diagram below showing the bottom of the switch where the connectors are.....

When I push foward on the switch it is suppose to open the valve on the bottle, then it goes back to "neutral" on it's own, same with closing the bottle I simply pull back on the toggle switch. What I don't understand is where to hook my wires up on this switch. The diagram is accurate even down to the fact that the connectors are numbered in the same fashion on the switch. I called NOS Tech and they told me I had to order their switch. At least they told me that on my bottle opener that white was ground, black was close, red was to open. Can some one tell me how to wire this up so I can use this switch from Radio Shack instead of having to order the one from NOS. Thanks, Lalo

What you appear to have is a momentary double pole, double throw switch. You only need a single pole switch, but you can make it work fine.

Run the remote bottle valve ground wire to a chassis ground. Run the +12V power supply line from the battery to the center connector (#2) on your switch. Run the red/open lead from the bottle opener to #1 and the black/close lead from the bottle opener to the opposite side #3. You will not use #'s 4, 5, 6.

Make sure you install the bottle valve so that the correct/inlet port is connected to the bottle. It won't work if you get the ports switched. Ask me how I know..... actually, I had to figure it out after a "shop" installed it wrong.... http://web.camaross.com/bb/biggrin.gif

You are amazing, I appreciate all your help. You wouldn't happen to know what the maximum psi a MSD in-line Pump(43 GPH) can handle, I want to use it in my used 5176 Kit since it is only $76.00 compared to $200 for the NOS one which is suppose to handle 700 horses at a maximum 100 psi. Now the MSD is suppose to hold 500 horses, but I have no idea what its maximum psi capability is. If there is another solution besides the MSD like a "in tank" pump that can handle the increased fuel pressure demands of the 5176 kit, I sure would appreciate you pointing me in the right direction.
