I went to get my SS loudmouth exhaust installed today, however the adapter won't fit to the cat, which is the stock cat on my '96. Any ideas? Or will I have to buy an after market cat to fit with this adapter for the 3.8?

Don't know exactly what adapter you mean, but any competent muffler shop should be able to fab up an adapter for less that $5.All you need is a reducer and whatever size end to bolt to your cat.Good luck.

RK sport has starter pipes,But Kev is right. they're givin you the run around or they not qualified.Pretty much any good shop can fix that no prob. You can pratically flare your existing piece and a good weld.
I still think they're screwin w/ya.Screw w/em back start talking your an incompetant fool,WTF are you working here for then. And if you havnt givin any money you should go somewhere else.

Thanks for the advice, sorry It took me so late to reply i've been busy. The adapter i meant was the one from tbyrne motorsports, it ended up being the LT-1 adapter... According to them that's what most v-6 owners use for their cars. It is a 3 inch pipe, and my cat is a 2 1/2...... But yeah, from what you've said and others, the place i went to was just plain stupid. Thanks again.
