72 Camaro, was an a/c cr ut just the box now. Fresh 355 with 1.94 heads and 327/350 cam, turbo350 with kit, 3.42 10 bolt.
headers and flowmaster. sounds very good. Nice body with black paint/white stripes. Nice black interior. 15x8 vette rally wheels. solid driver with aftermarket shifter and gauges. Otherwise looks like a Z. the car has both front fenders in primer but ready to paint and match the car. Is it worth $5000? What is it worth all black with no real issues? over $5000? thanks for any help
Are you selling...? or buying?
where located?
It looks like ANY second gen (first revision... 1970-1973) in normal shape sells for $5,000

I just found a real 1972 Z28 in great condition but the original motor is gone and it has a 400 in it for $8000. I don't know if that helps you or not, but it's a number to base things off of.

that is a good base - thanks. the clone is probably worth half that needng fenders painted and not a real Z.
take a look on http://www.ebaymotors.com (http://listings.ebaymotors.com/pool1/plistings/list/all/category6161/index.html?col=3&dir=1&from=R0)

I watch ebay but that is not really consistent to what gets paid when you sell locally. Some cars seem to draw big bids that don't deserve it and decent cars can't sell. Peter, I do use it as a general guide but this clone is nice - but no numbers value. I just didn't know how in demand the 70-73 Camaro is right now.
Seems like they are around in all states of condition.
This one has been in the paper a few weeks at 5k.
I was considering it as a trade and would need to sell it for 5k but think I might be advertising a while before I see that much$$ unless I paint the fenders. And still it's barely a 5k car - so I will probably pass on it.
thanks
true... true...
I bought my 73 LT this summer for $3,150 USD (I live in Canada)
It is in moderate shape, interior is good, but subframe needs to be replaced, and rear quarters need help (cracked at roofline)... but that is less than what the eBay cars are going for...
(you can see pictures at my cardomain site)
Another site I used to get a ballpark was www.nadaguides.com (http://www.nadaguides.com)
Fact of the matter, it is only worth what someone is willing to pay.
Post some pictures sometime... sounds like someone could have themselves a deal
