Arrow Front turn signal/marker acting funny?

Well - I noticed a few weeks ago that my left parking light appeared to be quite a bit brighter than my right - so I checked and they both have new 2397 bulbs in them. So I just let that slide.

Then - yesterday morning I noticed that when I turned my parking lights on (don't have DRL's on this car yet) the left turn signal indicator light came on, and stayed. Well - it done it again this morning as well.

So after a quick check - the left turn signal is not blinking at all (only on the front) and the right one is. And by comparison - it looks as if the left parking light is running off the high side and the right on the low side (like it should).

Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions. Like I said - the left one has looked to be brighter than the right for a while - like it HAS been running on the high side the whole time with no problems.

TIA!

If you're talking about the tail lights, I'd say to replace the bulb first, and if that doesn't help, replace the socket. Earlier LT1 cars were known somewhat for the sockets to go out. it's happened to be more than a couple of times, on different cars of course. I believe the sockets are about 3-4 bucks at any part store, but you need the LOW PROFILE ones. They don't lock in like the gm parts do, but if you get the gm sockets, you'll pay $50 a piece at a dealer.

Thanks though - I'll keep that in mind in case I ever have any problems out of the rear ones.

I'd say just try to replace all your bulbs... when a bulb is about to blow, it'll blink a little faster than the others to let you know it's about to go, or has already blown. As for being brighter... I would say it could be like a lamp in your house, when they're about to blow they get a little brighter.

Thanks - I will try that...
But I think I will just replace them one at a time, until it starts acting right - all at once could get expensive.

I'm a jacka**, sorry about that. But hey, at least you've got a couple responses now.
