Trans Am

Are most trans am M5 or A4.
because i was looking in autotrader this week and seen
some good prices on trans am but it did not say what type
of tranny it had.:confused:

Well, an M5 would be pretty hard to find. Since '93, all manual tranny V8 F-bodies are 6 speeds.

I think most F-bodies sold are A4s...probably like 60-70% (just a guess).

Yep, Most F-body's are A4's. If you are going to buy an M6, then you will probably have to look around a bit more to find one that suits your needs.

If it is not listed on there, the best way to find it out, I think, is to pick up the phone and call the seller... :think:

But, like mentioned before, I am pretty sure that majority of F-bodies were sold with an auto tranny.

Which is fine with me. ;) :D

Just keep in mind that every V8 F-Body from '93+ is a 6 speed if it has a manual transmission.

All F-Bodys with auto. trannies are 4 spds.

All V6 F-Bodys with a manual transmission are 5 spds.
